When yaya regained her consciousness, she felt cold and a throbbing pain on her knees. She began to survey her surroundings slowly trying to lift her upper body with one of her arms but realized something heavy was lying on top of her. Furrowing her eyebrows, she tried to pat the heavy thing to find out what it was. Only to realize she was under Barry's body who had his arms around her in a protective hold.
"B-bear..." She tapped his arms lying beside her, trying to make out their surroundings. All she could remember was both of them jumping on the side of the cliff when some parts of the snow mobile were flying towards them. Now they seem to be in front of an open cave just a few feet below the cliff.
"Bear." She tapped him again.
"Hmmm..." He let out a pained groan.
"Bear, are you okay?" Yaya lifted slowly lifted Barry's upper body while she got up, gently placing his body on her lap. She gathered all the strength left in her to turn his body around so that he could lie properly, but she ended up wincing in pain when she felt a sharp ache on her shoulders.
Barry had a big built, by his arm muscles alone she could tell just how regularly he exercises. Compared to her small and thin frame, it's really like an injured bunny trying to lift an unconscious bear.
Trying to lift him again, but this time she put her arms around his chest hugging him tightly, rolling with him preparing her arms as the cushion against the floor. All her muscles were protesting, she ignored the pain that shot up all over her body. She quickly hauled her body in a sitting position again and leaned on the nearest wall. She pulled on his arms so he could lie his head on her lap.
"Bear, Can you hear me?" She gently patted his cheeks careful not to touch the bump on the side of his eye. Still No response.
Yaya tried finding her phone on her pocket but she found out that it was crushed by their fall. She immediately tried searching for Barry's through his pockets and relieved to find it still whole.
Yaya pressed the side button on the phone and the screen lit up. That was when she realized that there was a single crack in the middle of it. She tried pressing on the screen if it can work properly but sadly the touch setting wasn't functioning in some areas.
Using the light from the phone, she focused it on their surroundings. All she could see were snow in the distance, some pieces of metal and rocks littered all around them.
She looked down on the man lying motionless in her lap. Fear instantly bloomed inside her when she saw his pale and ashen face. She immediately checked his pulse and was relieved immediately when she can still feel it.
'Please hang in there Bear' she trailed down the light on his body searching if he had sustained any wounds from their fall but then saw blood on her hands when it grazed a part on his side. Without any second thoughts she pulled him up to lean on her body, making him lean forward with her arm holding his chest.
When she realized that her strength couldn't maintain holding him up. She got up still ignoring the sting on her knees and straddled him, making him lean his head on her shoulders. They were both wearing black, so it was hard to distinguish which part of it was bleeding.
She immediately removed his jacket with one arm while the other was holding him, ignoring her own pain.
Yaya successfully removed the jacket when she suddenly stopped and panicked when she saw the back of his beige sweater soaked with blood. Lifting his sweater and t-shirt she freaked when she saw multiple gashes and wounds on his back and one was a very deep cut. Taking her own Jacket off, she also took off her sweater so that she can wrap his whole back with it to try and stop the bleeding.
Her movements were fast and agile fueled by her worries. After making sure that the bleeding slowed down, she covered him again with his ski jacket.
Yaya also checked his legs and arms if there were any wounds and she sighed in relief when she saw that there weren't any.
She scrunched her eyebrows when she realized that she hadn't seen any rip on his sweatshirt when she took off his jacket. It was only his Ski jacket that had grazes and rips on the outside but it was fine on the inside.
That could only mean the wounds weren't from the fall. It was there before they came to Switzerland
"Bunny..." Yaya suddenly heard him whisper weakly in her ear, surprising her. "B-bear, Don't make any movements okay? Your wounds are still bleeding. "She whispered back to him, a little shaken.
"Bunny, I-I'm sorry."
"W-why are you apologizing?" She muttered back at him.
"We are in this situation because of me." He said, pulling his upper body up to look at her in the eyes.
"It's not your fault." She replied to him, pulling him closer so he could still lean on her.
"M-my watch has a tracker, if they don't see us at the station in an hour. then they'll probably look for us. So don't worry. " Nadech assured her, knowing just how capable his secretary is.
"The wounds... Bear why did you protect me? when you knew you had an injury. " She whispered a little upset. If he didn't cover her when they fell, the debris from the explosion wouldn't have hit his back and his wounds wouldn't reopen.
"I'm your bear, remember? And as you future husband I- "
"Stop it! Why are you so careless? You could have died Barry. " She muttered holding his face in her hands. "I saw your wounds Barry and they weren't just grazes. Why didn't you tell me? "
"Your life is more important than mine." He said to her, his eyes wide afraid of her reaction. He used his left arm to lean on the ground and held her chin with the other. "Your life is very precious."
"How can you be this stupid?" She sobbed, eyes closed as she leaned her forehead with his. "Idiot." Yaya added.
"Loving you is not stupid nor is it idiotic."
Yaya burst into tears, unable to contain her sobs any longer. She cried like a baby, thinking of his wounded back."Stop crying bunny, I'm not going to die. I still plan to marry you. " He said, putting his arms around her, making her lean her head on his shoulder.
"How can you act like this when you're in this state? You stubborn, stupid Man. " She sniffled right by his ears. "Don't leave me okay?"
"I promised didnt I?" he whispered back weakly.
"Hmm ..aah."
His sudden groan made her sit up immediately. She cupped his face and saw him grimace in pain. "Bear, Don't close your eyes yet."
"If ever this will be my last moments with you. I want you to know that I love you with everything in me. And that Loving you is the best thing to ever happen to me."Nadech said in a weak voice, giving Yaya a grin with his dimples on display.
"No! Bear you promised you won't leave me! " Her hands trying to pat his face so he wouldn't close his eyes.
"Don't leave me again, you promised!" She cried, panicked because his eyes were slowly closing. She leaned his weak body in hers, hugging his face against her neck.
"When we get out of this place, we'll get married right away." She promised to him, hoping he could still hold on until his people arrives.
"hmmmm ..."
