Do you know the perspective of a person whose life held no purpose and the world just blurs around them?

That's what Yaya was feeling these past few days.

No Purpose.

No drive to do anything that'll somehow make her life a little better.

Yaya realized that being sad over something so uncertain will give her the most painful misery.

What she didn't understand was that disregard is misery itself.

Believing in Barry's promise to come back for her 8 years ago, pushed her to live her life thinking that someday fate will pity her.

He was holding her together, even though she was a little hopeless.

The Name ' Dahlia' was him .

Her nature to take the crap from others and just deal with it was the very reason she was weak.

Weakness attract bullies.

Yaya was tired of being pathetic.

Therapy might've helped her a little but she realized that things didn't need to happen if she became a little stronger.

Without ambition to fight and claim things for herself, life will always intimidate her. That's why she strived to take hold of the Control handed to her and use it fully to protect herself and those she holds dear.

She became emotionless.

Never showing her weakness, so they won't use it against her. Money attracts monsters, Even from Family.

The subtle threat of her Maternal Uncle to eliminate the people she used to love was her driving force to become stronger in terms of everything. She didn't feel the need to react at that time, for the sake of her grandfather. But the mere mention of her childhood best friend was like a trigger.

The business world became her training ground to teach herself the ways of Power play and scheming. So she could at least read the thoughts of greedy people.

Then she took the leap and decided to look for the person holding her together.

Yaya took a gamble to search for him, not knowing if he still remembered his Promise.

She had to find him. She thought she had enough power to protect both of them, even if she had to do it in secret.

She needed to find him before they do.

When they met again, she became undeniably Happy, relieved because her Hope was not pointless.

Her plans to protect him still stood even though he had that ability himself or maybe more. She was willing to do everything just to shield him. Selfish as it sounds, it's the only thing that pushed her to make it this far.

Now , His disappearance affected her differently.

She was livid. Angry at the fact that he just vanished without even a single text message after that day.

It has been 10 days , there have been no messages from Barry, a sign that Fate really hated her guts.

His broken promise wrecked her endurance.

She had no interest in looking or even Asking.

She had no interest in anything. Period.

In those few days, She mostly just filled her day signing documents, reading usual business proposals, occupying herself with unnecessary work and buying overly Expensive Bottles of Wine to consume before her nights even ended.

James, Kim and Uncle Leo gave up giving her lectures after her constant show of stubbornness, just continuously letting her do whatever she thinks would make her feel better.

Have I done something Unforgivable in my Past life? She asked, looking at the darkened sky, searching for something. Anything.

Maybe it's her fault... that people leave.

She laughed out loud, an empty noise that's muffled by the city's blaring night life.

Life Sucks.

Yaya closed her eyes, heightening the chilliness of the Balcony floor beneath her body. The coolness seeping in her bones, somehow satisfying the feeling of Emptiness inside her.

Switzerland. The trip was supposed to be today. She recalled.

They could've talked. He could've told her why he didn't come back for her sooner. Years wasted looking for each other. If he just came back a little earlier... if she just waited a little longer.

If only.

All her life, she never cared what people thought of her. She was the quiet weirdo who preferred books than friends throughout high school, was called a man- hater in college, now a man-hater and a Snobby rich Bitch in Europe due to the fact that she never attends any parties or Events when invited.

She realized, she'd never done anything Fun all her life.

Her way to Happiness was like an endless case of Abandonment.

She took a swig directly from her nearly empty wine bottle, never bothering to use her glass beside her.

She sighed. She finished her second bottle of wine but her awareness was still on point.

She still couldn't sleep.

What's the point of drinking if it can't even make her sleep?
