Chapter 14: Ride with you

"You're in Switzerland !?" James hysterical squeals echoed at the other end of the line.

"Yes." She answered back calmly looking down at Barry who insisted on putting medicine on her blisters. His eyebrows set into focus. "Why didn't you take me with you?" James asked sulkily. " You ignored us for a week and now you're in Switzerland. When are you coming back? "

Nadech looked at Yaya when he heard the question. It's going to be her decision how many days they'll stay here in Switzerland. If she decides to go home tonight, then they go home tonight.

He already knows who James is in her life, so he didn't feel the need to be Jealous. He truly wanted to thank the man personally for taking care of his bunny all these years.

"I don't know, James." She replied seriously staring at Barry in the Eyes. "I need to think about a lot of things. Can you handle everything for me until I get back? "

"Of course I will. Don't I always? " James said teasingly. "And please, please, please take your time and don't come back until your grumpiness is flushed out from your system. Do something stupid and fun for once. "

She rolled her eyes at his words and smiled a small smile at Barry who went back to putting ointment on her blisters. Admiring his facial features as usual. " Stop being weird. Bye for now. Call me when something happens. " She dropped the call quickly before she hears anymore of James advice, still staring at Barry without shame.

They were currently in her room, with her sitting on the side of the bed. Barry was sitting on a stool with her feet propped up on his knees.

"Just wear your old sneakers for today. I'm going to take you somewhere closer. I want to show you something. " Yaya's eyes narrowed instantly as she looked at his bare feet, worried that'll they'll have to walk there. Yaya may be okay with walking, but she didn't want to see him hurt.

"We're going to ride an electric bicycle." Nadech said reassuringly, smiling at her worried expression. Nadech's heart is turning warmer every time he sees her concern for him.

"Ahm, Let me see you soles first." Yaya got up from her seat and was about to kneel in front of him but he reacted quickly by getting up from the stool.

"Ahhh No need. It's not wounded or anything. It's just a little red. " He explained. His ears were turning rosy with embarrassment. He blew out a breath and made his way to get her shoes.

"Just wear these and I'll just get something from my room. We'll see each other outside the villa okay? " Nadech put the shoes down in front of her and made his way out of the door.

"I'm driving." Yaya uttered defiantly as they both stared at the electric bicycle fit for two in front of them.

Transportation like this is very common in Switzerland, It's nice to tour around with it and feeling the wind and seeing the view in full scale. They didn't take one earlier because they wanted to experience walking along the trail and take pictures. "Your soles are still tender, so you can just tell me where it is."

"Alright." Nadech said without a word of rebuttal not knowing if he'd be happy that she cares for him or upset at the thought that he won't get to have her arms wrap around him when they bike.

Without a second to waste, Yaya mounted on the bicycle and waited for Barry to sit himself on the passenger seat behind her. After making sure he's seated securely, she placed her left foot on the paddle and kicked off the ground with the other foot.

Shortly, they were moving along steadily. Despite the heaviness of her passenger, she was riding the bike along gracefully. Nadech did not know where to put his hands so he held the edge of his seat praying he won't fall off stupidly. "You're doing really well bunny." He uttered with praise behind her. "Your teacher must've been very good and very good-looking." He teased remembering one childhood memory of theirs.

Yaya was a little conflicted, not knowing if she'd reply to his teasing, she forgot that she's still supposed to be mad at him. Since she woke up she seemed to have forgotten his disappearance for more than a week and the way she felt during those times. She was getting used to his indulgent attitude towards, making her soften up and forget what he did.

Yaya wanted Barry in her life, but the fear of being left behind again was still gnawing inside her. She didn't want to feel hurt by his disappearance again. Yaya didn't think she could take it the next time.

Meanwhile, Nadech's earlier playful attitude turned to sadness. She wasn't talking to him again, only acknowledging his directions to where they were going.

All throughout the ride, Yaya focused on her riding, taking in the view of the beautiful houses, trees, flowers and animals along the way. She distracted herself from thinking about the man behind her, she can feel his heated stare burning through her coat, melting the walls she built these past few days without him.

Maybe this is the perfect time to talk. She thought.
