Stormchaser flew for a while before she finally decided to land. She landed in a meadow and gazed up at the night sky. She breathed in awe as she saw the stars twinkling above. She had never flown at night or really been out and night much and she couldn't believe at how bright and beautiful the stars were. She took in a breath and smiled broadly. The night was certainly where she belonged.

"Hey. Hey Stormchaser!"

Stormchaser turned her head and saw Russet Feather and Wind standing beside her. "What are you doing here," she whispered in shock.

"They're coming," cried Wind before Russet Feather could even speak.

"They're coming," echoed Stormchaser as her eyes turned troubled. "Who's coming and why?"

Russet Feather shot Wind an angry look before turning back to Stormchaser. "The wolf pack. They're coming to attack and get revenge!"

"That's not good," pointed out Stormchaser as she rose to her paws and looked at the two wolves. "I have to warn my mother and brother and Skypacer."

"Well where are they," asked Wind as he looked around. "Where's your den?"

Stormchaser smiled timidly. "Well we're going to go a ways to find it," she pointed out as she spread her wings. "Hop on."

"What," gasped Wind in shock as he shook his head vigorously. "No! Wolves don't fly."

"Well they are going to now," muttered Russet Feather as she sunk her teeth into Wind's scruff. She thrust Wind on Stormchaser's shoulders. She then leaped beside Wind and looked down to Stormchaser. "Ready."

Stormchaser grinned as she took to the air. She pushed forward, her wings slicing through the air. Wind howled in shock while Russet Feather rumbled in pleasure. "This is amazing," she cheered as she looked down at Wind. "Don't you think?"

Wind shook his head and lowered down into Stormchaser's shoulders. "I don't like it," he wailed. "I just want to land!"

Stormchaser kept going before she landed close to her den. "Alright hop off," she instructed as they slid from her wings and onto the ground gingerly. She then pushed herself into her den and saw her mother and brother sleeping close together.

"Wake up," she yowled as she leaped onto Darkflight's shoulders and shook him madly.

Darkflight groaned as he blinked open his eyes and shifted a bit. "Stormchaser," he groaned. "I'm trying to sleep."

"Now for long," panted Stormchaser as she nearly pushed him to his feet. "Wolves are coming. The North Star Pack. They're planning revenge on us for the death of their wolves."

Darkflight pushed to his feet and looked around madly. "Now?"

"Yes," snapped Stormchaser before she darted to her mother's side and pushed her head against Swiftstream's shoulders. "Mom please wake up."

Swiftstream blinked open her eyes. "Are you alright Stormchaser?"

Stormchaser shook her head. "No you have to go outside, now!"

Swiftstream reluctantly obeyed while Stormchaser and Darkflight padded from the entrance of the den and into the forest. Swiftstream withdrew a bit and growled at Russet Feather and Wind.

Stormchaser stood protectively in front of her new friends. "It's alright Swiftstream," she assured gently. "These are our friends. Russet Feather lost her mother to a rouge Night Fury named Iceshard while Wind is the alpha's son. He lost his mother and sister due to Iceshard."

Swiftstream straightened a bit and frowned a bit as she looked at the wolves in sympathy. "I'm so sorry. So you aren't the wolves who are planning to attack us?"

Russet Feather shook her head. "No at least not us specifically."

"Our pack is coming though led by me Aba," cut in Wind as he pawed at the air. "He's going to kill you!"

"Oh no he's not," challenged Swiftstream as she braced her muscles. "I'm going to find Skypacer and see if she knows where Heavystep is."

"Heavystep," echoed Darkflight as he tilted his head in confusion at his mother. "Who's Heavystep."

Swiftstream smiled shyly as she took to the air. "I dragon I'd hoped you'd never meet but I suppose now is the best time." She took off, as swift as can be.

Stormchaser turned to her wolf friends. "We have to work out some sort of plan," she pointed out dryly. "We won't want to kill or injure any wolves. We just want to scare them off."

"Well they can't stand up to a lot of dragons," grumbled Russet Feather as she jabbed a paw into the early. "They can barely stand on their own paws right now."

"Don't worry, we won't try to kill or injure any wolves," vowed Darkflight as he lifted a paw. "But we're not going to be pushovers either!"

Wind began to draw a bit in the ground. "How about we try and scare them back?"

"That's a great idea Wind," praised Russet Feather as she licked the pup between the ears. "Wolves are extremely superstitious. If we can jump up and have light from above they will probably think it's a message from Starbound."

"Starbound," echoed Darkflight as he gazed at Russet Feather. "What's Starbound?"

"It's the wolf heaven," she answered before flicking her tail in dismissal. "Now are we all set on the plan? We go up and you'll all blast whatever breaths you have. We'll handle the rest and try to set them over the edge."

"God idea," Stormchaser breathed with an excited bob of her head.

Heads turned as they heard the screech of a Night Fury. Stormchaser looked up and saw her mother land, her wings plastering against her body. Skypacer landed beside her, eyes alert in the night. The last one who landed beside them was a bit of a interesting sort. His whole body looked like bones and a skeletal system. He certainly looked strong and had the look of pure terror about him.

"Darkflight, Stormchaser, Russet Feather, Wind, meet Heavystep," introduced Swiftstream as she looked up to the giant dragon. "The Boneknapper!"

Stormchaser had never seen a Boneknapped before. "It's a pleasure to meet you," rumbled Heavystep as he looked down on the wolves and Night Furies.

"You've never mentioned a Heavystep," whispered Darkflight as he stook a bit where he stood. Heavystep was much bigger than him.

"He's my brother," broke in Skypacer as she took a step forward Heavystep and rumbled as she rested her head against his boney shoulder.

"Brother," echoed Wind as he tilted his head in confusion. "But he doesn't look like you."

Heavystep lowered his head down to look at Wind and Wind shook where he stood. "Family is not always related by blood little one."

Wind gulped before he darted behind Russet Feather's leg, whimpering madly. Russet Feather flicked her ears. "Alright the plan is for all dragons to fly up and spray as much fight, plasma, or whatever. We'll do the rest."

Stormchaser nodded and spread her wings. "Follow me." She took to the air and prayed that everything would go alright.
