Stormchaser saw herself soaring high in the sky, her wings spread and her mind excited. She then dove forward and felt the wind surge around her but it didn't slow her down. She made expect turns and dives that even some full grown Nightfuries struggled with. However she was doing them with ease and enjoyment.

Then as the air turned colder and as the light drained she realized that a storm was brewing. She looked up as rain fell from the sky and dotted the landscape. It because harsher and even she, the great Stormchaser, was having trouble.

However she saw what she loved, a bold of lightning. She dreamed of chasing them right up to the clouds. She readied herself and when a bolt of lightning struck the ground she surged upward beside the great electric bolt. She flew faster than she had ever flown in her life. Her wings were working double time while she struggled to see through the rain. She was named for chasing storms, so that's what she was going to do.

She stretched out a paw to touch the lightning and....

"Wake up! Stormchaser wake up!"

Stormchaser groaned and rolled on her back before looking up to see her brother, Darkflight, standing over her.

"Darkflight," she growled as she pawed at his face. "I was in the middle of a dream."

"A dream," echoed Darkflight as he tilted his head. "What were you dreaming of?"

"Chasing storms," breathed Stormchaser as she rose to her feet and breathed happily. "You should have seen me! I was flying and chasing lightning bolts and battling rain-"

"I think you're taking your name too much to heart," chided Swiftstream as she lowered her head and licked her daughter atop the head.

Stormchaser shook her head and bolted away from her mother. "No I wasn't! I just want to fly, like a real Nightfury."

"Me too," added Darkflight with begging eyes.

Swiftstream shook her head. "Not yet," she argued gently. "You're not old enough. The wind would be too much for you, if you could even take off."

"But then why have wings like this if we can't fly yet," complained Darkflight as he spread his wings. They weren't very large yet but one day they would be.

"They're not ready for flight yet my little ones," murmured Swiftstream as she spread her own wing before stretching it out and pushing Darkflight over. "But until then why don't you focus on having fun."

Stormchaser brightened and charged for her brother. She pushed him and he tumbled over. He then pushed himself to his legs and shook his head a bit. He opened his mouth and Stormchaser blinked rapidly. She couldn't see her brother's teeth! She knew that he had them but he had no idea why she couldn't see them.

"Mama," cried Stormchaser as she motioned Swiftstream over. Swiftstream padded over and looked down at her daughter. "Where did Darkflight's teeth go?!"

Swiftstream looked at her son. As Stormchaser leaned into her brother's mouth his teeth suddenly sprung up and she leaped back, yelping in shock. She darted behind her mother, panting in absolute terror.

"It's alright," chided Swiftstream as she took her tail and brought her daughter forward. Stormchaser looked at her brother who was doubled over laughing. "Your brother was just playing a trick on you."

"That's mean," snapped Stormchaser with narrowed eyes.

"Nuh uh," argued Darkflight as he shook his head. "It was fun."
