I should've been the bigger person. Shut up and take the blame. I did most of the actions, who cares about the reasons? Shut up and take the blame. Yeah sure, you were told a more worrisome version of the story, but you still ruined her life. Shut up and take the blame. You knew she was too angry to see your side of things. Shut up and take the blame. But you had to justify yourself, so now the blames shifted onto someone else. Shut up and take the blame. You knew she'd be less angry at you if you gave her the name of the deceiving story teller, but at least you didn't name drop. Shut up and take the blame. You still somewhat overreacted and made her feel disrespected. And yes she doesn't trust you anymore, and yes she'll tell you that her life is none of your business anymore, but at least she'll be happy with everyone else in her life. Still, you should've shut up and taken the blame.
