As soon as I got home which was about fifteen minutes after leaving Matty I got a text.

Matty: Hello love, hope you got home safe meet me tomorrow at the pizza place downtown at... 3ish? x

I smiled at the thought of tomorrow, I couldn't wait to be with him again and to laugh so much and not worry about the weight of everything on me.

I figured I should check with Doug to see what he wanted before planning all this again, even though I knew I was going to spend the next day with Matty, no matter what.

Doug: Oh, alright have fun. call me tonight?

(hour later) Doug: Hey babe hope you're having fun with Sam, I'm going out with some friends call you tonight.

(half hour after^) Doug: Where are you? swear I just saw you running around town with some guy. call me.

(two hours after) Doug: What the hell Skylar. what are you doing! ANSWER YOUR PHONE.

I sighed as my happy feelings went away. Why did he have to ruin everything?

Skylar: Hey babe. Phone died, sorry was out with a friend.

I decided to check my messages from Sam he always knew what to say, maybe I'd call him and tell him all about Matty.

Sam: Hey Skylar! I'm gonna be in town this weekend, thought we should catch up? I miss you hope you're doing something fun!

I smiled as I thought about being able to hang out with Sam. I missed him a lot. You don't really appriciate spending time with your best friend until you can't anymore. It was an awful feeling.

Skylar: Definitely! I miss you too! You should drop by Saturday night and stay over I have so much to tell you!

After that I figured I might as well see what Kate wanted. I called her back and she answered after a few rings.

"Hello?"

"Hey sorry I missed your call earlier I was out." I said expecting to be questioned about who with or where.

"Oh hey Skylar, yeah that's no problem I was just gonna ask you if you knew where Doug was, actually. He left my house to meet you but came back pretty angry and asked if I wanted to go out for a drink... It was pretty strange, but then after about half an hour at the bar he stormed out and I couldn't reach or find him anywhere... I still haven't heard from him have you?"

This was all a lot to take in, that's why he had been so mad earlier. I mean he usually is but this time it felt a little different, maybe it's because I knew that if he knew what I was doing today he'd be extremely upset.

"Uhm actuallly not for a few hours I texted him a minute ago because I just got home and my phone had died and he did seem a bit upset but I haven't gotten a reply yet." There was a bit of an awkward silence, I guess neither of us really knew what to say now.

"Oh... well I guess he's out with the boys or something, would you let me know if you hear from him and I'll do the same? I know we're both equally concerned." She said with such a fake smile that I could feel it through the phone. Not exactly, I thought.

"Yeah I'll let you know, see you later."

"Bye Skylar."

I hung up and texted back Matty.

Skylar: Hey, yeah that'd be great we have to make a stop by the book store so I can pick up my criminal justice book for over the summer study bleh. can't wait to see you again(:

I fell onto my bed, like a typical girl and sat there smiling about a boy who I just met and shouldn't even be hanging around too much because I'm in a commited relationship, but for that one small moment I had all to myself. I felt like my life was almost perfect; and I loved it.

hey guys, sorry this was such a boring chapter it's a bit of a filler while I work on the next chapter. I hope you're enjoying this so far because I have lots of ideas and I'm pretty excited about where this is gonna go.. hahah

I know I said I probably won't be updating but I have found a bit of extra time yay c:

a bit of a QOD: what's your favorite band/song at the moment? I'm looking to... expand i guess, my music, besides just the 1975. although I wouldn't mind just listening to them for the rest of my life.
