Today is the very first day that I'll be receiving my tasks for my Yearbook Photography position. I will be able to go around the school during classes too. The Lead Photographer position is a big deal, allowing me not to attend classes when it deems essential. It's like an excused absence. I was worried about this, though. I didn't want my grades to decline nor miss class and start getting behind on any work.

Mrs. Evans had emailed me, letting me know about all of it. Her email helped me prepare ahead of time by going to my teachers before today. I was able to be informed of my assignments, and I spent my evenings completing and turning them in early before the final bell this morning. I was now sitting in Mrs. Evan's class as she directed her students with today's lesson. Typically, at this time, I would be with Cambria in Mr. Chapel's A.P. English class.

Bri: "You go all professional photographer soon, huh? Excited?!"

Mia: "Very much so!"

Bri: "Awesome! Photography is so your element. I know you're going to have a great time today!"

Mia: "I know. Today is going to be wonderful. I can't wait to get started!"

Bri: "That's the right attitude!"

Mia: "LOL, Thanks!"

Bri: "Will I be seeing you at all today?"

Mia: "Yup. I will be wandering around campus, taking pictures of, well, basically everything; even your practice this afternoon."

Bri: "Ooo, bet! Be safe and have fun!"

Mia: "Will do. You do the same too. =)"

Bri: "You do know who you're talking to, right?! I always do. The nerve."

Mia: "Oh, hush. Lmao."

Bri: "Exactly. =)"

I put my phone away, and Mrs. Evans finished explaining what her class needed to work on for today. She then walked back to her desk, where I sat, waiting patiently.

"Good morning, Mia." Mrs. Evans greeted me as she sat down.

"Good morning, ma'am," I replied.

"Ready for today?" She asked me, and I nodded, making her smile.

Mrs. Evans rummaged through the pile of papers on her desk, stopping when she found the one she was looking for in the first place. She then handed it over to me. I scanned it from top to bottom, excitedly. It was a list containing the various types of photographs I needed to capture for the Yearbook. For example, candid, groups, portraits, impact, illustrations, and extracurricular activities. After reading the list, I looked back at Mrs. Evans, filled with anticipation.

"You're free to go begin, Mia. Just return here sometime after school, and we can go through what you've captured." Mrs. Evans said, and I nodded in agreement, making my way out of her classroom.

Throughout the next few hours, I spent time in different classrooms on campus. I wanted to make sure I took photos of academic departments while teaching their classes to make it more impactful. I decided that I would do this first because classes were in session, meaning that there wouldn't be many students walking outside of campus.

When lunchtime came around, I was still taking photographs. I didn't even realize it was lunch because I was lost, having the best time taking these photographs. I can't help but get lost when I am doing what I love. I noticed that most of the student body was gathering around with their cliques for lunch. It's a perfect time to take candid and group photographs!
