the hideout

The entire world was still. A week had passed since the battle between All for One and Lemillion. All they found at the scene was the young hero's body while the green-haired villain was nowhere to be found. Some were praying he'd died somewhere. Others said he must be somewhere hiding in the shadows, healing his wounds. While they didn't know what would happen next, all they could really do was wait. Like a ticking time bomb, everyone felt more and more anxious as days went by.

Students ran around as they treated each other's wounds. Somewhere still crying while others were just unconsciously staring into space. They managed to escape from AFO and reached Hawk's secret base.

Apparently, Hawks had inherited a huge mountain of land from his grandfather and he originally wanted it to be his private relaxing spot, but later on, he changed it to a cool secret base. The mountain was far away from nearby cities and was a safe space. For the time being, at least.

"I-Iida? Are you ok now?" Uraraka asked.

"I'm fine, yes. The pain has deteriorated." The navy haired student replied with a small smile.

Through his words, Uraraka knew her friend wasn't fine. When they dragged him to the hideout, he was barely alive. Also, something valuable was robbed from him. His legs were detached from his torso when he boldly attacked All For One. Even though his quirk wasn't formally stolen, it was as if he was truly quirkless.

Ochaco nodded and walked to her other classmates. She glanced at Mina who'd broken an arm. It pained her to see the smiling and cheerful Mina to have a permanent look of fear plastered on her face. She was still trembling. Ochaco also saw Jirou from the corner of her eye. She was muttering 'Dumb Kaminari' over and over again like a broken record, digging her nails into her knees.

"Hey, Ochaco." Momo greeted.

"Hey."

Momo looked pale and had dark circles under her eyes. She was working hard to produce bandages, stretchers, and beds for everyone. It was clear she was overusing her quirk, but in their current situation, it couldn't be helped.

"How is everyone?" the star student asked.

"Not well.."

Momo sighed.

"We were just kids with a dream. How did things turn out like this? How could one heartless villain's wrath affect our society so much?"

"I don't think he should be blamed for everything.." Ochaco muttered.

"Uraraka! What are you saying?!" Momo asked in a whisper-shout.

"I mean...he is still technically evil and I guess his actions could never be forgiven, but...there must've been something that drove him into that direction. All for One...no...Izuku Midoriya was probably another misguided person that turned into a villain because of expectations from our current society." Uraraka answered, fondling with her hero suit.

But there was something else that equally bothered her. When she first saw Izuku's true face, she felt an unreasonable amount of pity for him. It was like there were still glints of good in him like he wasn't truly evil. It was unexplainable how she came to that conclusion, but it was just a gut feeling.

"I understand what you're saying, but don't casually blurt that out next time! Others may not feel the same way!" Momo advised.

Yaoyorozu! We need more bandages over here!" Shoto shouted. Momo waved goodbye before going over to help out.

Sitting on another bed across the room was Inasa. He was staring at the Shiketsu hat left by his upperclassman, Seiji.

"I'm sorry, Senpai. Shiketsu is destroyed. I couldn't defeat All For One...I couldn't avenge you...sorry. I'm sorry." Inasa muttered as silent tears streaked down his face full of regret.

Katsuki was standing in a corner, eyeing whatever was left of his ripped off arm.

"Fuck" he muttered as he gritted his teeth harshly.

Everyone was still extremely anxious. What if AFO was tracking them down that very moment? Where their families safe? What would the future behold? What was the outcome of this hell of a world?

BEEP!!

A mimick ticking time bomb was set off.

"Everyone who is able to move, go to the main sector!" Hawks shouted through the overhead system speakers, distress apparent in his voice.

All the students and sidekicks scurried there, afraid for their lives. On the main screen that was displayed in the center of the huge room was none other than him. The black-suited, green-haired mastermind maniac, All for One. Although only his upper body was shown, students could feel courses of fear and depression surge through them, some were even trembling.

"Hello, citizens of Japan! It's your current ruler, All for One!" he announced happily.

Everyone gulped. Hard.

"You've all seen my power by now, as I'm sure. I have crushed your hope, am I right? But! Will you wallow in despair forever? I'm offering you a new society, people! A society that I will rebuild from the one I destroyed. Anyone who's willing to give up their past and live on is welcomed to join me." he chuckled.

"Accept the hand I'm extending and your life in the new Japan will be secured! But! Those who refuse to acknowledge the truth and think they can bring me down from my reign, I only have one thing to say. Come at me (bish)! I will show you how STUPID you really are! Think hard, my subjects." All for One said and right after the last word, the screen turned to static.

The aura in the sector was dense.

"I think...we should just accept his reign.." a student blurted out, trying to break the tension.

"Y-Yeah. We saw him fight first hand, right? It's impossible." another added.

Everyone was muttering in agreement until..

"FUCK THAT SHIT!" Someone in the audience shouted.
