A dense weight lingered in the air throughout class 1-A. None of the students were smiling, but instead silently staring at the ground or anxiously fiddling with a pencil. Silence ruled as tension and fear arose. Everyone heard what happened to Shiketsu and the other schools. It would be stupid to think UA wasn't being targeted as well.

"Morning" Aizawa greeted the class as he walked in lazily.

Seeing the current state of his students, he didn't bother waiting for a response back. It was to be expected. Even he was pushed to his limits. His body was already tired from all the sleepless nights spent in meetings with other faculty members and police. He also guarded the dorms all night, waiting for any alarms to be set off (it's a stupid job, i know). If he could be granted just one wish, it would be to sleep comfortably in his sleeping bag even for just an hour.

"As you've heard, Shiketsu is destroyed, the Top 5 died in battle, and Recovery Girl was murdered. Things are looking grim. The media is criticizing heroes, police, and hero schools." Aizawa said.

The students lowered their heads even more, and their expressions changed completely from anxious to afraid. Their eyes were wide open and some bit their bottom lip anxiously.

They all loved Recovery Girl since she was the sweet old lady that cared for their health. Most of them admired the Top 5 as well. Others felt a sense of rivalry against other students from different schools. One way or another, All for One stole all of it.

But could they do anything about it? No, they couldn't. They were just 1st year UA students who had provisional licenses and a bit more villain experience than others. Top heroes were slaughtered easily when they attempted to fight the villain. They couldn't hold a candle against All for One's strength.

"Even if hero schools get destroyed one after another, UA won't close down," Aizawa said in a serious tone.

Most of the students looked up surprised but confused. Their normally rational and analytical teacher was being illogical. The safest decision when the time comes would be to shut down the school to keep the students under protection.

"UA is the last pillar of hope standing in this country. Hero agencies across Japan are closing down one by one because of fear of being called out against All for One. Crime rates have gone up due to a lack of heroes. This is why UA must continue to stand. To show the world that we haven't given up just yet." Aizawa added.

Even with that inspirational speech, the students were still overcome with despondency. Aizawa flicked his eyes around the room, making eye contact with each of the students and the placed a stack of papers on his desk.

"This is a form. You have the right to choose. You either remain here and train to fight All for One or leave. UA will without a doubt be next on the lists of All for One's targeted schools, so with that said, your lives are in danger. Normally, this would lead to the closure of the school, but thanks to your upperclassmen and Principal Nezu's persuasion, the school will continue, however, we teachers were told to give the students a form that allows them to make a choice, understand?"

Everyone nodded.

"The choice is in your hands, but remember this: it's okay to run away," Aizawa said as he handed out the forms.

"You have the whole day to decide since there are no classes today. You can also train, pack your stuff, or talk amongst each other. You must decide soon since we don't know when All for One will attack. If you decide to leave, don't come back. Leave as soon as you can. Those who stay, attend class tomorrow."

And with that, Aizawa left the room, slithering in his yellow sleeping bag like a caterpillar.

Everyone silently looked down at the untouched forms they received. This was their ticket out of the danger that was yet to come. They wouldn't have to die a meaningless death. They could just choose to leave and live a safe life. Despite this, they remembered their snarky know-it-all classmate, Katsuki Bakugo. Even though he was always filled with selfish pride and had a nasty attitude, he was still their classmate. When they found out what All for One did to him, they were enraged. Even Todoroki.
