"Big sis Mei...will this really help us?", an anxious, tiny 15-year-old asked. She had almost white long, thick hair down her back, pale skin, and a tiny horn on the right side of her forehead. Newly replaced bandages wrapped around her arms and legs.

"Don't worry, Eri-chan. This new baby of mine will definitely help us defeat that monster of a villain and help us win this relentless 5-year war." the dread-haired woman replied, making some small tweaks and adjustments to her "baby".

"Is this even safe?" All might asked, stepping into the conversation.

The silence he'd received made him unsettled.

"Y-you don't have to worry about me! If this will help our side, I'll happily do it. I'd be a hero like Lemillion." Eri told the old blonde man with a smile.

"If anything happens, I'll shut my baby down, so don't you worry," Mei assured them, flashing Eri a small smile.

"Hawks and Katsuki don't know about this and if they find out, they'll raise hell." All Might warned.

"They'll understand. We're doing this for our side." Eri said hopefully.

Just a few feet away from the small party was the gigantic machine the young engineer and genius, Mei Hatsume built herself. It had a huge arch that reached the ceiling of the dimly lit room.  Thick, long, colorful wires strung out from its base and were connected to a control panel. The whole thing was managed by none other than Hatsume.

"Eri, sit down on the chair please," Mei instructed.

Eri sat down and Mei approached her. She then placed a headgear thing atop her head, one with many wires coming out of it, connecting to the base.

"A-ah! What is this?!" Eri exclaimed as her arms were secured by metal straps from the chair as well as her legs.

"For safety reasons. If the headgear comes off while my baby is on, who knows what could happen. Relax."

The pink-haired girl ran to the control panel.

"Are you ready, Eri?" She asked, switching some buttons on, preparing for the experiment.

"Yes!"

"Don't  overdo yourself!" All Might shouted.

"I'll try!"

Eri took a deep breath. Even though Bakugo didn't approve of the operation, she continuously prepared herself for it behind his back.

"Remember your goal here, Eri," Mei shouted before switching on the machine.

It hummed, making a vibrating, lull/ominous sound. A sound you probably wouldn't expect from a machine of its caliber. Electricity sparked dangerously close to Eri and Mei, but they didn't pay it any attention.

Eri then...thought. She thought of topics like heroism. Justice. Kindness. Then she thought of a person, a person she knew that had those traits. Or would've had them.

A portal formed. It was a success! Or so Mei thought.

Eri shrieked as pain coursed through her body, filling her up with nothing but indescribable hurt.

"Mei! SHUT IT DOWN!" the blonde man shouted from the sidelines.

Mei was in the process of doing so, but- THE PANEL! IT EXPLODED! Eri was blasted away, still strapped to the chair.

"T-the portal! What's it doing?!" All Might pointed.

The portal that Eri created had started sucking in anything that wasn't secured to the ground. Tools. Documents. Everything. All Might held on for his life. The machine was on the verge of self-destructing, smoking up the room, and glitching out.

Eri got up warily, gritting her teeth. Once again, she thought of the three topics from before. Everyone's lives depended on her. She had to succeed. No one could defeat All for One because of their lack of hope and willpower.

They're in need of a hero.

Almost simultaneously, the machine burst into flames, some of them about to hit Eri when a green streak of lightning grabbed her and placed her out of harm's way.

"Are you okay?" a voice asked.

The small teen turned only to be met with a mysterious, skinny man in a black bodysuit, sturdy gloves, and red sneakers. The man picked her up into his arms, carrying her. Because they were in the dark, she couldn't make out his face, but when they stepped out into the open... she was surprised.

His hair was fluffy and dark green, his face sprinkled with light freckles. His eyes and smile were kind, assuring her safety. She felt safe with him.

All Might and Mei tensed in complete fear, not making a single move.

"All for One?!"
