"Wow, is this really happening?" I asked, as all of my friends helped me pack. "I can't believe this is actually happening! One minute we were about to cancel our entire relationship and now I'm moving right on in! This must be the time to pinch me because now I know I'm dreaming!" "No, you're not dreaming." Bryce told me. "You're just as awake as the rest of us." "Oh, good. For a moment I thought I was losing consciousness." I replied. "No! Don't lose consciousness!" Sienna exclaimed. "You're living an important milestone! You want to be awake to savor the moment!" "Besides, We don't want to be responsible for Dr. Ramsey finding you sprawled out across the floor. He told us that we're all gonna take care of it and if he finds out you're taking out boxes yourself, he'll kill us!" Bryce exclaimed. "I didn't think you were afraid of him." I smirked. "Only when you're involved." Bryce replied. "I mean, you've seen how he reacted when what's his name tried to kill you; imagine what he'd do if we let a box kill you."
"A box alone can't kill you, but if you're injured... I might as well finish the job." Ethan told us, coming back in for another round. "You're not thinking about it, are you?" "What? Me? No, I think I enjoy you taking charge of the heavy lifting." I smiled, innocently. "How is your shoulder doing?" Ethan asked. "You really don't have to worry about me!" I replied. "Oh, yes... I do." Ethan told me, taking my face into his hands. "Every moment I do." "Hey, we're all nice and safe. You have nothing to worry about." I told him. "I'm not going anywhere. We stuffed that creep away." "Right... Still, for every creep that gets put away there's still others to replace them." Ethan replied. "What can I do to ease your mind?" I asked him. "Don't... pick up... a single box." He answered. "I walked right into that trap, but I have something better in mind," I laughed and pulled him closer to me so I can kiss him.
"You're distracting me from helping you move." Ethan told me. "Do you have a problem with that or is it that you just can't wait for me to move?" I teased. "Are you actually looking forward to playing house with me, doctor?" "No." Ethan answered. "I think you are." I teased further. "You can't wait to snuggle with me in the mornings." "It's unbecoming to flatter yourself." Ethan smiled. "Oh, it's very becoming... Because you know it's true." "Fine, you caught me, but if you're planning on playing house; I prefer we get to the house at a time where the sun is still up." "Alright everyone, you heard the man. Let's head out of here." I announced. "Onward we go!"
"I've got the last of it." Rafael replied, "Looks like you're all set." I sighed, "Goodbye, apartment that I bargained cookies for. I'll miss you, but I'm actually really happy to leave you behind at the moment." "Did you want to say goodbye to the bathroom sink?" Ethan teased me, "Maybe the refrigerator or the window or the stove?" "You can tease me all you want, but I really did have some good memories here." I smiled. "So... No turning back now... right?" Ethan asked. "You're not having second thoughts are you?" I asked him. Ethan took a second to study every inch of my face and answered, "I regret nothing." "Whew, because we had just gotten everything cleared out and it would be a shame to torture my moving crew some more." I smiled. "Believe me, I'm grateful for that!" Bryce exclaimed. "If I had to drag everything back in, I might collapse!" "Well, it's lucky for you that bringing everything back isn't an option." I told Bryce.
As we headed out of the apartment, we heard someone yell out, "Stop! Come back here with my purse!" Rafael was about to spring into action, but I beat him to it. I caught up with the mugger, knocked him out, and brought back the purse to the lady. "Thank you!" The lady exclaimed. "How did you catch up with him so fast, though?" "Uh, I don't know... adrenaline, I guess." I replied, "Forget about it, did he hurt you?" "No, I'm fine... but he did rip the strap off of my purse though; it's in worse shape than me." The lady replied. "Thanks for getting it back. How should I repay you?" "Don't worry about it! It's really no big deal!" I answered. "I'm just happy to help. Sorry, I have to get going... My friends are probably wondering where I ran off to." "Hmm... Something tells me there is a very interesting story waiting to be reported." The lady began thinking, as I ran off in a flash. "I can't wait to learn more..."
