As we hurried through the rest of the patients, we had one left. He has a Voodoo curse put upon him. "Alright, how are we planning on fixing this guy?" Aurora asked, "None of us know anything about Voodoo." "Well, except that people use dolls to stick needles into people." Bryce replied. "That's the only thing you know about voodoo?" Jackie teased him, "You need to broaden your horizons a little." "I don't see you brushing up on your voodoo knowledge." Bryce teased her back. "I'm sure Colette might have some ideas on how to handle this." I suggested. "Why do I have a bad feeling about this?" Ethan asked, as we headed towards Colette's fortune teller's shop.

"It's your intuition telling you to keep your guard up." I replied. "That might be useful in case someone decides to turn us into frogs." "That is a deeply disturbing thought!" Ethan exclaimed. "I hope it doesn't come to that. Now that I know that it is a real possibility... It's horrifying." "Relax, if we do get turned into frogs all we need to do is kiss each other." I reassured him. "What if it doesn't work?" Ethan asked. "Then we'll live together on a cozy lilly pad love nest." I answered. "What are you worried about?!" Jackie asked. "At least you have abilities that prevent you from getting cursed. What about the rest of us that don't have a chance to defend ourselves?" "I could turn on my Lahela charm." Bryce suggested. "Yeah... You'll be the first to get voodooed." Jackie told him. "We're on the last stretch of heading home, so let's try to avoid curses for as long as it takes us to get on the plane!" Aurora exclaimed. "I agree." Ethan said, "Let's fix this malison so we can get out of here." Sally popped her head up, "Rrf!" "Sally is ready to leave as well." Elijah laughed. "I don't blame her, we've been tuckered out of this vacation." I picked her up. "We'll be back in our own bed in no time." "Well, it would be somewhat different... Since your bed is in a new house." Elijah reminded me. "Thanks for the reminder, I had forgotten that I was going back to a life of luxury." I laughed. "I don't know about luxury, but I'm sure it's rather comfortable." Ethan responded. "Comfortable because we get to snuggle in each other's arms?" I asked. "That's one way to put it." Ethan answered. "I think it's the only way to put it." I teased. "I don't know how I could sleep at night knowing that you are so far away." "Shut up and ask Colette what she could do about Mr. Voodoo curse." Ethan smirked. "I'm right here! I do have a name!" The patient reminded him. "Like I said... Mr. Voodoo curse." Ethan ignored him. "It's François!" François proclaimed. "Not since you let an angry ex-girlfriend seek revenge on you." Ethan told him. "Hey! She plucked my hair while I was taking a nap!" François retorted. "Perhaps your mistake was cheating on her with a hotel maid." Ethan argued. "If you saw the hotel maid, you would too!" François defended. "No. No, I wouldn't." Ethan answered. "A relationship is more meaningful than physical attraction. I wouldn't complicate that relationship for a million hotel maids. I already have what I need." "Good answer." I smiled at him. "What can I say? You're special to me." Ethan responded, affectionately. "You're special to me too." I replied. "I wouldn't want to be with anyone else." "That's very touching, but what about me?" François asked. "If I end up feeling another sharp pain or unfortunate accident; I won't be so lenient with you guys." "I'm sorry, who are the ones that are giving you the help you require?" Sienna stared at him fiercely. "We don't owe you anything, remember that." "Let's make him squirm a while longer." Jackie agreed. "He's a self-entitled dish rag." "Hey!" François exclaimed. I chuckled, "Looks like there are worse patients than Nigel."

"What is going on out here?" Colette asked. "Take this voodoo curse off of me, so I get away from these people." François demanded. "Have some respect for these people, they've been through a lot." Colette told him off. "Have they been electrocuted by toasters? Have they been invisibly pushed down the stairs? Have they been bitten in the butt with a crocodile sneaking in your house? Have they been having their house throw a complete tantrum every time you try to leave it?" François listed. "We had chairs thrown at us!" Sienna exclaimed. "Ethan and I had been slammed into a wall." I added. "We've been chased by zombies, skeletons, giant spider creatures, annoying little bats, green sea creatures, and more." Aurora continued. "Don't push us, Voodoo Man." "Looks like you're out- numbered." Bryce warned François. "Play nice and they won't send you out into the bayou to fend for yourself." "What is this bad cop, pretty boy cop?" François asked. "You guys are useless." I see why his ex-girlfriend had hard feelings towards him. "Watch who you're calling useless, pal." Ethan warned him. "You might want to think twice about saying something you'll regret." "What I regret is relying on all of you." François retorted. "I say we leave this man with his predicament." Jackie began to walk away. "I agree, he doesn't deserve our help." Aurora walked away as well. "We'll be getting our plane tickets sorted out." "Ok! Fine! You win!" François exclaimed as he ended up punching himself in the face a couple of times.
