It was finally time to leave Don Luigi's and now we were on our way to inspecting the bullet that may be the cause of my super human abilities. Bryce laid it down on the surface of a counter. "What exactly are we looking for?" Jackie asked. "Does it have a print that says made in Japan?" "I think it's more complicated than that." Aurora replied. Schroeder the turtle stared angrily at the bullet daring it to mess with me again. "Actually, this bullet looks more different than an ordinary one. Look, it has a Fleur De Lys design on it and it looks like it came from a necklace." Sienna explained. "Can a bullet necklace be that dangerous?" Aurora asked. "It can be if the real bullet was disguised as a necklace bullet." Rafael answered. "No one would suspect a necklace." "Given the Fleur De Lys, it's no surprise the bullet has some kind of curse put on it. The explanation rests in New Orleans." Ethan told us. "The Voodoo center of America... Of course..." I said. "Does this mean we have to go to New Orleans to find answers?" Sienna asked. "This is so exciting!" "Contain your excitement; we've got to play this in a very smart manner." Ethan said. "New Orleans is very unpredictable, so to prevent anyone from turning into toads we mustn't lose each other in the crowds." "I think we got this, all we have to do is use our common sense." I said. "The most important rule is: Don't anger anyone with magic." "I'll settle all the arrangements." Ethan said. "We'll head out tomorrow."

"Are we going to ask someone to take the curse off the bullet? I think it's kind of cool Christy has super powers." Elijah asked. "It's not everyday we get to live through a super hero movie." I took the bullet and examined it. The same golden glow that I mentioned before had brightened stronger as I touched it. This time I saw that the bullet glowed as well. "It's like you're still connected to it!" Sienna exclaimed.

Ethan studied both me and the bullet thoughtfully. He was trying to figure out the mystery of this glowing light. Finally he said, "In most cases of mystical legends, a powerful object can be connected to a person by some sort of prophecy. For instance the sword in the stone can only be removed by Arthur in the old medieval legend..." "Are you comparing me to King Arthur?" I smirked. "If the bullet fits." Ethan replied. "So, what's the prophecy of this bullet?" Bryce asked. "I'm a doctor not a fortune teller." Ethan answered.

"Wait... I'm getting something." I answered. "There's some kind of chaos surrounding New Orleans..." "What kind of chaos?" Sienna asked, listening in suspense. "Apparently, there's a curse that turns people into vicious gargoyles." I answered. "Well, that settles it. We're not going." Aurora said. "None of us can compete with vicious gargoyles." "I have to go! If this bullet was meant for me, it means I'm the one who has to stop it!" I exclaimed. "Aurora's right, if there's a disaster that bad going on in New Orleans... We can't put ourselves at risk. You had just learned that you have super human abilities that exist... It doesn't guarantee that you're invincible. How can you possibly stop whatever is going on?" Ethan asked. "You said it yourself that it's some sort of prophecy. I can't ignore it if I'm the one who was destined to solve this problem. I don't want any of my friends getting hurt in the process, so I'm going alone." I answered. "Christy, the last time you went alone you had gotten shot." Ethan told me. "I couldn't levitate objects at the time. I can't ignore the fact that I'm needed. I'm going tonight. Something is going on and I have to figure it out for myself." I said, "Don't worry, I'll be back." I left as quickly as I could, taking the bullet with me. Sally the Fennec Fox followed after me, along with Lucy the Chinchilla. Schroeder the turtle stared at all of us, conflicted. Finally, he decided to crawl on after.

"So... What do we do now?" Elijah asked. "What do you think we're gonna do? We're cashing out on our vacation days and we're heading to New Orleans." Jackie replied. "I'll call Naveen." Ethan sighed, picking up the phone. "Why does Christy have to be so stubborn and impulsive?" "Maybe you should have kept quiet on the King Arthur bit." Jackie told him. "I wasn't planning that she would take it so literally!" Ethan exclaimed. "Ok, but what if she is the only one who could stop the vicious gargoyles?" Rafael asked. "If she could, she could save a bunch of lives from massive destruction." "Or it could be a trap." Jackie suggested. "What if someone else wants that bullet?" "This could end poorly..." Sienna admitted. "Am I the only one who actually has faith in Christy?" Bryce asked. "She's stronger than you're all giving her credit for. I know because of those chats that we had in the hospital room." "Hey, I have faith in her!" Elijah exclaimed. "I've seen enough super hero movies to know that the good guy always wins." "You're forgetting that this isn't a movie, this is real life, and there is a slight chance we might get our butts kicked." Aurora told him. "Or worse, we could be turned into gargoyles!" Sienna exclaimed. "That's a horrifying thought!" Ethan exclaimed. "Let's try to avoid that." "This is not how I've been picturing my vacation." Aurora said as Ethan began calling Dr. Banerji.
