Violet Ankamah's POV
"Violet, you okay? You haven't touched your food at all" my mom asks, with a concerned look on her face.
"Mhm. Yeah. I'm good momma" I say to her.
She shrugs and turns around.
Just as she does, Orion catches my eye, with a very smug smirk on his face, a huge cup of coffee in his hands.
My dad and Jayden went out somewhere this morning, leaving me, my mom, who has a meeting with her friends from the gym in half an hour and my boyfriend.
I glare back at him and he winks, taking a sip of the coffee.
I look away, flustered.
My mom kisses my cheek.
"Make sure you lock up, okay, sweetheart?" She asks.
I nod.
"Yes momma." I tell her.
She's not a hugely affectionate woman.
So when she is, it's always nice.
She turns to Orion.
"It was lovely meeting you, Orion" she says with a warm smile.
"Likewise" he responds.
She grabs her keys and her bag, leaving the kitchen.
I hear the front door close.
Orion speaks.
"You wanna talk about last night, Cher?" He asks.
I look away.
"There is nothing to talk about" I insist.
"Mhm. Looks like we're talking about it" he chuckles.

*8 hours earlier.*
"Orion, put that back!" I gasp.
He lets out a soft chuckle.
"I want a back story out of you first, baby" he tells me.
I lean forward to snatch it off of him, but he twists it out my reach.
"Embarrassed?" He asks.
I see a teasing glint in his eyes.
I pout.
"This isn't funny!" I chastise.
"I'm not laughing" he responds, with a grin.
I sigh, rubbing my eyes.
"You never got... you know... frustrated as a teenager?" I ask, looking away.
"I get 'frustrated' now, Violet." He responds.
I feel my face heat up.
"Well that's all there is to it. I was at the age where I started to think about it a lot. So I brought a.. a- -" I stutter.
"A toy" he finishes and I nod.
"I didn't lose my virginity until I met my ex, so this was good for me." I say.
Despite myself, I let out a little chuckle.
"I was still even using it after I met him, coincidentally. I forgot that I left it here" I tell him.
"What, he didn't satisfy you enough while you were together?" Orion asks me.
I shrug.
"Well we weren't really doing a lot together since he was... you know." I say trailing off and Orion nods.
