"I liked the girls' uniform a lot." The libero, Nishinoya Yuu, stated seriously.
Sora nodded, agreeing at his statement. "They do look cute," he muttered, gaining Sugawara and Daichi's attention.
"Pervert," the parents of the crows said at the same time, making the pink-haired spiker sweatdropped. He didn't bother explaining himself. He was an innocent man!
"The boys wear gakuran! Black ones!" Noya shouted, showing off his uniform.
The two-third year boys nodded. "They do look cool," Sugawara muttered, glancing at Sora.
Sora caught his eyes and grin, hugging his body as if protecting himself from the setter. "Pervert."
"Tch," Daichi scoffed and Sugawara laughed nervously. The trio went back on watching Noya's attempt of gaining their manager's affection.
'They have a proper ace here,' Hinata thought in a daze, eyes shifting towards Sora's silent form. 'I thought...' His eyes connected to purple gems.
As if reading his thoughts, Sora shook his head and pointed at himself. 'I'm not the ace,' he mouthed. The wing spiker knew a lot of people would question his position in the team. With his reputation and past, many would assume that he was the ace. He didn't want that. Asahi was the ace of Karasuno and whether he comes back or not, he will stay as the ace till he graduates. 'And when the time comes,' his thoughts trailed off as his eyes shifted towards a certain direction, 'he'll become the ace.'

"Noya has his own language," Sora joked around with his fellow second-year except for Noya and Tanaka.
"You think Asahi would come back?" Ennoshita asked curiously before groaning when Sora's serve hit his wrist.
"Raised your arms a little more and yea, of course, he will." The titled school prince flawlessly received Ennoshita's crooked serve. "Narita! This one is for you!"
"Damn, Sora. Can't you soften it a little!"
"Oi, Sora!" Noya shouted from the other end of the court. "Do you want to be the ace?"
"What? No!" Sora shouted back and went back to playing. Hinata's surprised gasp and Noya's laughter echoed in the gym.
Karasuno's older team members knew about Sora's thoughts on being the ace, even Asahi. After their defeat against Date Tech and before Sora's official first day of school, Asahi offered him his seat. Sora ultimately refused. Sora only told Asahi why and they both haven't shared it with anyone else. The rest respected their decision, pushing their curiosity down.

Asahi nervously glanced at the boy beside him. Many eyes were focused on their direction. If it was just him, none of this attention would be present.
"You weren't replying to my texts so I got worried," Sora said. He shoved another pocky between his lips, "You owe me a lunch date."
"A-ah," Asahi sweatdropped, remembering that he did promise the other a free lunch. 'Date?'
"Oh?" Sora raised his hand and touched a random strand of Asahi's hair that was dangling near the other's mouth. His fingers softly brushed again Asahi's face. He placed it behind the flustered boy's ear, "Fix your hair, will you? Do you want me to do it? I am good with my hands"
"N-no, thanks," Asahi took a few steps back away from the dangerous boy. "I-I b-better g-go, than-thanks fo-for d-dropping me o-off," he wanted to cry and bury himself. His heart was about to jump out of his chest at the glinting purple eyes staring at him with amusement. Azumane Asahi ran away and buried his redden cheeks on his arms. 'What the hell?!'
