Roger found himself restless, unable to sleep once again. This time, though, it was not so much anxiety as excitement. He wanted to fall asleep, but the next day, he knew, was the day that he had been waiting for.

He was naked, though that was no longer a concern for him. He lied nude under the covers of his friend, and he found it ridiculous that it was becoming more common than not for him. However, it was a situation he favoured.

The soft snoring he heard off to the side indicated that Hunter was sound asleep. Roger considered the wolf lucky in that regard: he had always been able to fall asleep almost on command, whereas the fox had much difficulty doing so, especially of late.

The first few times that he had lied in the bed naked with the wolf had been awkward and he had always been a little more than shy, but he no longer held it apart from the rest of the time they spent together. It excited him every so often, but he was beginning to be able to control the urges, with a few occasions being an exception. He always avoided confrontation, though, by heading off to the bathroom.

It was still out of the question to "relieve" himself in front of the wolf, though their friendship had nearly become that familiar. Similarly, the wolf was noticeably calmer than he had been before, though Roger had never witnessed him performing any similar actions, and he had never found any indication that he did so.

He rolled over and hugged Hunter, burying his face into the wolf's shoulder. He yawned and closed his eyes, trying to fall asleep. It was almost an arduous task, especially since he could hear the wolves snoring very well, but not trying to accomplish the task would have made it impossible.

When he woke, the wolf was gone. He had even gotten used to that event, as the wolf was much more active than he. Still, there was a lingering warmth and scent in the sheets, and he savoured it the best he could. It made him smile to himself, and he did not want to leave the bed.

When the wolf came back into the room, he sat next to the fox and made his presence known. He inquired as to what they would be doing that day, and Roger just smiled. It was a surprise, he told him.

They ate their breakfast, got their showers, and sat around for a moment. According to Roger, the things that he had planned did not begin until a little bit past noon, so they had a little bit of time before their small date started. When the fox thought about it, though, he blushed a little and could not look at the wolf. Was it becoming an official thing, he wondered.

Nine, then ten, then eleven... it was almost time. They left the house and headed toward the shopping mall area.

Once there, Roger purchased movie tickets for himself and the wolf. He had noted that the wolf was always entranced by movies, and it just so happened that, while the movie they were to watch was not exactly the type that he enjoyed, it was a sort of romantic movie that he thought would set the mood. It was a midday show, so they could have the rest of the time to themselves, though he had also planned lunch, and then dinner after they wandered around a bit.

In retrospect, he had not planned all that much. Mainly, he had just picked things that they had done before that he noticed they both enjoyed thoroughly.

The movie came around quickly. They filed in, and due to it being a fairly early showing, it was fairly empty, save a few others scattered about in the theatre.

Roger picked a spot in a fairly unnoticed area where others could not see them with too much ease, somewhere in the back. The wolf sat next to him, and the fox moved the armrest out of the way so that they could lean on each other.

At first, the theatre was dark, then blinding as the previews came about. Eventually, things adjusted, however.

The movie progressed just as any other romantic movie would, and Roger was not too interested in it. He thought that a lot of the things that happened in it were corny and overdone, but he saw that the wolf was transfixed on the screen.

A quick glance around confirmed that no one had been watching him. He even looked at the booth on the top where the employee would be, and it was empty except for a figure that he would see change the reels.

He put his arms around Hunter and held onto him closely. His face was pressed against the wolf's chest, but he looked forward to watching the movie. If he had learned anything from before, it seemed Hunter might have been interested in talking about it after it was over.

He felt an arm wrap around him and he looked up. The wolf was looking down at him, smiling, but then he returned back to the movie.

There were ideas that filled the fox's mind, lewd and innocent both. Everything, however, was focused on the wolf.

The movie began to hit the climax, a tear-jerking sort of scene where the protagonist finally confessed to his love interest. Roger blushed and empathized with him. Just like a dream, it had happened, and much like a dream, it was haunting. He felt all the luckier that it did not turn into a nightmare much as he had envisioned.

The movie was getting more and more interesting to the fox, and suddenly he began to find himself much like the protagonist of it, feeling that all of his problems were quite similar though never the same, as they had different situations, and his problems were of a different nature.

When the movie ended, he pulled away from the wolf, afraid that someone would see, but no one did. They were all in the same position, doing the same as he did.

He watched everyone shuffle out, and as he got up to leave, the wolf made him stay by holding his paw. He turned around to see what the problem was, and was instead met with a close hug. The wolf licked him across the face, but it as different. It was slower, warmer.

The fox caught off guard, did not know what to do in response.

He did not need to act, though, as the wolf moved his mouth close to the fox's ears, and whispered softly into them, "I love you, Roger."
