unfortunately, the familiar tunes of metallica didn't blast near jeongguk's ear and by the time he woke up, it was way past eleven.
"shit."
jeongguk practically yeeted himself from the bed, the red silt bed cover pooling on the floor as he ran to the bathroom, brushing his teeth and changing his clothes.
shrugging into a white tee and leather jacket, clearly not in the mood to care about his clothing as he spat the excess toothpaste and ran downstairs, spraying scent blocker on the way.
"well well well, look who's late."
jeongguk groaned as he fixed his fading cherry hair, reminding himself to dye it back to some decent colour again, grabbing his car keys.
"look dad. i don't have time for th-"
"driver's off duty, just so you know. i can drive you." joonwoo said, as he watched his son's exasperated expression, clearly amused.
"no. no need for that. the last time you tried driving, we almost died." the alpha said, stomping outside and jumping inside his mercedes, his father's laughter making him smile in the process.
when jeongguk threw open the door of the office room, taehyung was already inside, his perm forming perfect curls and his cream shirt stretched across his lean body, with a slim samsung between his ear and his left hand.
"i'll talk to you later, hyung." taehyung mumbled, skeptical eyes still on jeongguk, who closed the door behind him and walked inside, panting slightly.
"where were you?" the trueblood's voice was so calm, that it made the younger even more pissed.
why the fuck isn't he yelling?
the younger sat on the chair and could feel the other's eyes on him.
"slept through the alarm." he mumbled, ears a burning pink, taehyung raised his eyebrows.
"you're no more a kid, jeon. you are a ceo, start acting like one."
jeongguk gritted his teeth but didn't reply as he dragged the laptop towards him, opening notepad.
taehyung had stood up and was standing on the other side of the room, looking at the city outside.
"what new app are you thinking of presenting? we have to give at least something to the employees to work on." the younger said, as he scrolled down a list of pending apps yet to be done.
"depends on what you've got." taehyung said, eyes still not leaving the morning view outside, jaw set.
"uh..there's an app for students to help them concentrate where the longer they not use their phones, the more bitcoins they earn, another app is for finding good dining places in seoul ensuring decent environment and money saving and-"
"bullshit." the other drawled as he slowly approached the table and sat on the chair beside his, leaning a bit to peer into the laptop.
"why not create an app for making new friends?"
"there's tinder for tha-"
"i said friend, dumbass. not lover." taehyung said, looking at jeongguk with a done expression.
"hey, language p-"
"the app i'm talking about." taehyung interrupted clearly enjoying the alpha's annoyed expression.
"can be for all ages, susceptible for all genders, user friendly and safe. everyone can use it. id proof is mandatory."
"and what's the purpose?" the younger said, clearly impressed at the idea.
"the people who are lonely are fifty percent more likely to die prematurely than those with healthy social relationships. there are some who feel way better in interacting with people online rather than face to face. some need people to listen to their worries and rants, their feelings without seeing their faces or their judgemental looks. there are people who are agoraphobic, they can use it too. too many possibilities if you think about it."
jeongguk leaned against the seat, in awe. the way taehyung spoke about these issues was quite touching. the fact that a complete asshole like him cares, was seriously surprising.
"doesn't sound like a bad idea." he mumbled, as he typed down the necessary information for the app.
"its brilliant. just accept it."
jeongguk glared at the older, who chuckled in the process.
maybe, taehyung was not that bad after all but he still was a dick.
