"with a heart like that, you deserve the world."

jimin wasn't feeling well at all.

that same endless sadness was sinking inside of him till he felt like drowning and he didn't know what to do.

sitting at the backseat of the local bus, jimin watched the outside view. fields of green grass and vast stretches of sunflowers swaying to the beat of the wind. a few half naked children were chasing each other, giggling. the sky a bright blue with a few stray clouds wafting here and there.

the bus was on its way his hometown and was nearly empty except for an old farmer carrying a huge sack full of fresh turnips.

jimin sighed as he leaned back against the seat, the wooden material hard at the back of his head.

he had no idea why he was going back to the place he had been avoiding and dreading for the past few years, but he knew he owed his parents an explanation about his past whereabouts. detached from them, deep inside jimin seriously didn't want to see them. he just wasn't ready with some heartwarming speech and a myriad clarification. he wasn't ready at all and he knew that all too well.

thank god it was a saturday cause jeongguk couldn't stay around his mate without his heart thumping freakishly and the fact that taehyung could very well feel him too (perks of being a trueblood) was not helping at all.

he hated that.

the smug smile on his face everytime they accidentally made physical contact along with jeongguk jumping animatedly was downright funny.

ugh, the younger wanted to die.

and taehyung's incredible face and subtle touches to his shoulder or thighs sent jeongguk to one of those frenzies where he would scream inside his pillow after returning home like a lovesick teenager.

the embarrassment.

"have ya'll kissed?"

jeongguk choked on the milk as he looked at his father with wide eyes.

"w-what?"

joonwoo swiveled on his seat, facing his son with an eyebrow raised, his empty breakfast plate on the table.

"fucked then?"

jeongguk turned beet red as he placed the glass on the counter top with a loud bang making joonwoo stifle a laugh.

"dad. what are you talking a-"

"stating the obvious, kid." the father shrugged, a wide grin on his face at his son's flushed demeanour.

"look, father. i do not like taehyung that way so whatever you're saying makes so sense-"

"did you know that the last time i met taehyung, he said you weren't his type?" joonwoo said, as he casually picked up the newspaper.

jeongguk froze in his spot as he frowned, looking at his carefree father.

"he said what?"

joonwoo shrugged, eyes still on the newspaper.

"that you aren't his type. he also likes someone e-"

what? he l-likes someone else?"

jeongguk could feel his stupid emotions begging to leak out. he knew taehyung didn't like him. he should've thought before. such a handsome man like him ought to have someone else in mind. obviously. but jeongguk didn't know why it affected him so much. shouldn't he be happy? so why did he feel that same rage? deceit? sadness?

jeongguk exhaled heavily and before he could hear anything more from his father, he turned towards his room.

his heart heavy and his head swirling.
