"i met another me, inside of you"
at the end of wolgog street stood a tall, glittering building with vast glass windows displaying arrays of vibrant clothes and mannequins draped with new arrivals.
gloss was one of the most highly reputed fashion brands in the city of seoul with its top class quality and fresh designs.
min yoongi, however, was having a terrible day. his secretary had messed up, again.
"what do you mean you forgot?" the beta asked, voice quivering with rage.
"actually...i-uh-"
"shut the fuck up, hyejoo. i give you one work. one. fucking. work."
shin hyejoo was trembling with fear. eyes flashing from blue to his usual muddy pools.
"sorry sir-"
"get out."
yoongi watched as the omega walked outside, still shaking and tears flooding his eyes.
the white haired male sighed, cursing under his breathe for losing his cool and lashing out at his secretary.
hyejoo was supposed to send an e-mail to some italian brand for further cancellation of their deal they had signed two months ago. on top of that, the man was not picking up his phone. a whole mess.
min yoongi needed some fresh air.
so he headed out of the building, head low. the receptionist eyeing him warily. still in his full sleeve tee shirt and ripped jeans, he barely looked like a ceo and the ongoing traffic made him feel worse. inhaling the toxic air, he felt sick, pondering how people can even survive at such a place like this. how was he surviving anyways?
yesterday, he had received a strange phone call from taehyung demanding whether he had asked jeongguk to apologise for the whole fiasco at the party and yoongi denied, because it had been a while since he had a proper talk with the younger. but he could make out a twinge of happiness in the trueblood's voice. maybe it was something else but taehyung was glad and yoongi had heard it in his voice.
walking down the street, hands stuffed inside his pockets, yoongi closed his eyes as a wave of strong, cool air hit him, the leaves rustling, dust swirling around his feet. a storm was approaching. just then his phone rang. hyejoo. gritting his teeth, yoongi answered, pressing the phone against his ear.
"hello."
"sir i a-asked them to cancel the deal. they h-had called."
"good."
yoongi kicked at a few stones on the pavement.
"s-sorry sir, won't happen a-again-"
"its fine. just don't repeat this shit again."
the line was cut and yoongi continued walking to his favourite cafe.
the la brewers sold one of the best black coffees, along with soft apple pies and lemon tarts. perfect place for a sweet tooth like him.
skipping up the stairs, he pushed the glass door open and the bell tingled, announcing his presence. the interior was same as far as he remembered. with its honey yellow walls with honeycomb wallpaper and small wooden tables shaped like them too. a few bee stickers stuck on the walls, shining and of course, a few quotes how coffee is the best thing in the world. a universal best friend.
as the beta approached the counter, he was greeted by a new face and a strong smell of..roses?what. and all too immediately, the smell of pine, fresh grass and of the woods. the smell was so intoxicating, he felt like drowning, sleeping and never waking up. he didn't even realise his eyes were closed but he could make out that the male before him was equally tranced, as he made eye contact with a pair of sunset orange eyes, yoongi's nerves lit up and his wolf howled.
mate.
yoongi exhaled and smell was gone and instead in front was the stunned barista. brown curls falling in front of his eyes, golden skin and a smile so radiant. god, he was so beautiful. his mate was literally glowing. the all white overalls and the nameplate bearing hoseok.
"sir? can i take your order."
yoongi shook himself from the daze and looked into a pair of soft brown eyes.
"yes, of course. one black coffee please."
the barista nodded, passing a tight lipped smile and writing down the order, hands shaking. he was nervous.
yoongi smirked.
"hoseok?"
the man looked up, eyes wide and questioning.
"at what time does your shift get over?" yoongi asked, as he placed an arm on the counter, leaning slightly.
hoseok raised a perfect eyebrow, a small smile at the corner of his lips.
"why? i don't do out with strangers."
yoongi opened his mouth to protest, crestfallen, when the brunette burst out laughing.
"god. that is not how you ask people out, min yoongi."
"how-"
"i read your name at least fifteen times in the newspaper." hoseok shrugged.
yoongi chuckled, shaking his head.
"so tell me. when are you free, mr. ceo?" yoongi laughed, flashing his gummy smile.
