taehyung's hands were shaking. literally. as he gripped the steering wheel of jeongguk's car, the owner himself sitting quite calmly beside him, gazing out of the window.
"how the fuck are you sitting like that, jeon. you just murdered a person-"
jeongguk looked away from the scenery outside as he turned and focused a glare at the older, who quickly shut up.
by this time, taehyung had noticed that they were driving towards the kim residence.
jeongguk sighed as he relaxed against the plush leather seat of the mercedes.
"your father. did everything to protect you."
taehyung slid a puzzled look at the younger.
"i..don't understand?"
jeongguk remained silent as he practically glared out of the window.
the heavy sun was scorching outside, most of the passerbys carrying colourful umbrella, some kids licking on varied flavoured icicles.
by the time the duo reached the location, jeongguk was already rushing towards the entry door a confused taehyung behind.
the trueblood was sure that jeongguk knew who was behind this. and the thought itself was riling him to the edge. clenching his jaw, taehyung focused on the present situation.
the first thing they noticed was a very tired taewon sitting near the kitchen table with a pensive namjoon.
"dad?" taehyung said, as he rushed past the younger, standing before his father.
taehyung was so confused. so annoyed. no one was telling him what was going on and he just saw his mate murder somebody? heaps and piles of tension was collecting in his head and there was only a slim time left for him to burst.
"hyung? what's..going on?"
namjoon bit his lip.
"soomin's no more, taehyung. she died a few minutes ago."
taehyung froze and he felt jeongguk tense beside him.
only taehyung knew how hard he was controlling himself. controlling and begging his wolf to keep calm. soomin was everything to him. a motherly figure which he never had. running to her house when he was bitten by a stray dog at the ripe age of ten. her wise words. everything comes rushing back at such speed, taehyung can't even breathe at the moment. no tears come out. cause when he went to visit her in the morning, he wasn't allowed inside and he feels regret building up.
