"i'm ready to forgive you but forgetting is a harder fight."

"he's such a pain in the ass, hyung. you have no idea the amount of nonsense i have to deal with when i'm around him." taehyung exhaled, as he toyed with the fully cooked beef on his plate.

the older before him sighed but kept on listening to his endless rants.

"like can you believe that douche didn't even apologise for what he said." the trueblood exclaimed.

the restaurant was almost empty with only these two males and a couple sitting a few tables away. it was a huge dining area with some fancy name and served some of the best beef items. a graffiti like mural was painted on the wall opposite them depicting a woman with flaming orange wings and blood red fangs, alongwith a neon blue background.

"i'm telling you, yoongi hyung. stay away from that ice cream head. he's of no good."

yoongi snorted, as he sipped water from the glass, an amused expression on his face.

"that colour suits him, taehyung. you cannot deny that." the beta commented.

being the ceo of an enormous fashion brand had its own perks, min yoongi was always dressed perfectly. attractive in a striking manner with pale white skin and sharp eyes, the ceo talked only when required. his clothing brand, gloss, was one of seoul's biggest.

yoongi had always been one of taehyung's closest confidante and also of jeongguk's. the trueblood knew yoongi since childhood and for jeongguk, he was a senior at his high school. known for his cold demeanour but a heart of gold.

"do i look like i give a flying fuck? he's a jackass. that is what he is." taehyung said, voice sour as he chewed on the food, humming at its taste.

yoongi set his fork down, wiping his mouth with a napkin.

"he's not that bad, you know. just give the kid a chance."

taehyung wrinkled his nose in disgust making yoongi laugh.

"both of you are exactly the same. even jeongguk complains about you to me." the beta said.

taehyung chuckled dryly.

"as if i care."

yoongi shrugged, the same amused expression on his face.

taehyung couldn't help but let his mind wander to the other day, the sparks were still prevalent on his skin. he could still feel them. the way jeongguk shifted away instantly, doe eyes wide with confusion. what surprised him even more was that jeongguk had felt them too. it was just an alleged touch of their thighs but he was still speculating like some overthinking teen.

the trueblood also knew that chances of him having a mate were low but still for some stupid reason he still applied scent blockers for precautionary measures. the mere idea of opening up to some random person, freaked him out.

but jeongguk was just so young. even behind his all that i-am-a-fucking-ceo act he could sense a whole lot of youthfulness. like how he used to play with the pink rabbit paper weight and the blue turtle, even making them speak to one another, another such instance was when they were returning to their respective houses, the younger's eyes had lit up at the sight of a dozen balloons being sold by a vendor.

so fucking childish.

"i still don't even understand why you both seem to hate each other so much." yoongi said, as he called the waiter for the bill.

taehyung shrugged, swallowing the ice cold water.

"why don't you go and ask him."

yoongi sighed, shaking his head.

the duo had split the money before walking outside the restaurant, leaning against the outside wall.

it was still yet to be late, cars and buses were rushing back and forth with their blinding lights, a group of teenage girls wearing flashy dresses and heavy makeup laughing and stumbling, clearly drunk, a crowd of office workers were hiring cabs still talking amongst themselves. somewhere near, this ain't the summer of love by blue oyster cult was blasting through the speakers. maybe some random late night house party.

the white haired male exhaled a puff of smoke into the night air, the cancer stick between his fingers.

"how's the company coming out to be?"

"fine." the ravenette mumbled, as he looked up at the night sky. heavy with clouds made it impossible for the stars to shine. it would rain later, it seemed.

the older bid farewell before walking away, leaving the ceo behind, thankfully there was no media this time.

just give the kid a chance.

should he?
