"and just like crimson sunsets, you taught me that endings can be beautiful too."
jeongguk did not expect that he would find himself in a posh hotel, surrounded by the deep cerulean and his mate's scent. after all they had a company to settle, work to do but still namjoon had heavily persuaded them to take a break.
the fact it would only be taehyung and him freaked jeongguk out a bit. and his face had been flushed the entire time they drove to the airport with a smug faced jimin beside him.
now as he stood near the balcony, with taehyung beside him on the chair. jeongguk inhaled deeply, the salty air filling his lungs leaving a warm sting in his throat.
"the sunset's beautiful." taehyung mumbled, getting up and standing beside the younger.
the huge scarlet sun spilled all its colours throughout the stretch of the horizon, the blue of the ocean mixing with the red of the sun. seagulls flying across the sky. so soothing, it really calmed jeongguk's mind.
taehyung sighed, turning and glancing at the younger.
"what do you think?"
jeongguk furrowed his eyebrows, facing taehyung.
"about what?"
"the sunset."
jeongguk chuckled, shaking his head.
"its pretty? i don't know. what do you think?"
taehyung scrunched his nose, an endearing smile decorating his face.
"don't sunsets tell us that even endings can be beautiful?"
jeongguk hummed, supporting his face with his palms.
"endings were never ugly in the first place." jeongguk shrugged," an ending means a new beginning, taehyung. and i don't think there's anything more beautiful than that."
"my mom loved coming here. it was her favourite place." jeongguk said, a fond smile on his face.
"hawaii? it's one of my favourite places too."
jeongguk hummed.
"she loved you a lot, you know. your mom." taehyung said, looking at the younger," she always talked about you when you were back at busan."
jeongguk smiled as he stared at the sinking sun before them.
a comfortable silence ensued as a soft breeze deranged their hair.
"there's so much work to do when we get back." taehyung groaned, slumping his shoulders dramatically.
jeongguk laughed as he ruffled the older's head.
"i hope we can bring back global units at the place it was before."
"what did i just say, tae? a new beginning. for both of us and our company. how does that sound?"
jeongguk yelped as the older wrapped his arms around his waist, pulling him close.
"what the fuck taehyu-"
jeongguk was silenced was a pair of lips meeting his. a new comfort settled inside his belly as he moved his lips in sync with the older's.
jeongguk gasped as he felt taehyung's warm hand meet of the exposed skin underneath his tee shirt.
the younger lightly pushed taehyung off him, a string of saliva separating their lips.
"we are outside-" jeongguk hissed, a small smile on his face as taehyung giggled pulling him close yet again.
"let's go in then." taehyung winked making jeongguk roll his eyes.
it was exquisite really. so alluring and so sweet. a smiling taehyung and a grinning jeongguk holding each other, breathe mingling. jeongguk felt like he was on cloud nine.
and he knew that they had to go through shit and there were hardships and ignorance but they were here now. a new beginning. a fresh start.
the now already set sun highlighted their features creating a dark silhouette on the pale curtains, heavenly laughter tinkling in the air.
