twenty two

Jeongin sat behind the cameras, watching as Hyunjin and Chaewon acted out their scene, a bottle of strawberry milk on his lap and a black jacket draped over him that smelt distinctly of peppermint.

In the scene that they were filming, they were fighting over what was best for his character, Yejun. And, since Jeongin had nothing else to do, he decided to sit in and watch them film, a shy smile forming on his face whenever Hyunjin made eye contact with him.

Truthfully, he had never liked anyone apart from his childhood friend Jinnie. Although he figured out that his interest was in boys, he still found majority of the population as lacklustre, no one quite being able to catch his eye.

Yet, for some odd reason, Hwang Hyunjin had immediately made him feel something for the first time ever since his childhood and the fact that he was the same person made him blush even more at the coincidence — it was as though they had been fated to meet again.

"Why're you smiling like that Yang?" Jeongin looked up and saw Hyunjin in front of him, an eyebrow raised as he leaned in closer to him, so close that Jeongin half expected him to plant a kiss on his forehead, a bright red blush blooming on his cheeks. "You look like a tomato."

Jeongin placed his hands on his cheeks, trying his best to cover them as though it would help hide the fact that he was burning up.

Hyunjin distanced himself again, folding his arms as he looked at Jeongin. "Why don't you wear the jacket properly? I thought you were cold."

Jeongin wasn't cold — he just wanted Hyunjin's jacket.

Jeongin opened his mouth to speak but Hyunjin quickly put two and two together. "Did my Yang just want my jacket?"

"My...?" Jeongins' ears were bright red along with the rest of his face, his heart beating at a mile per minute as a smirk formed on Hyunjins' face.

"If you just wanted my jacket-" He looked around quickly and when he realised that everyone was too busy to pay them any mind, he quickly placed a gentle kiss on his forehead before leaning in next to his ear. "I'd be happy to give it to you."

"Yo-you can't just do that!" Jeongin whisper-shouted, hitting Hyunjin with his jacket sleeve.

Hyunjin shrugged. "I do what I want," he said, a faint smile forming on his face. "So if I want to kiss you, I'll kiss you."

Jeongin had no clue how to respond, his words having been stolen by Hyunjin. But luckily for him, he didn't need to as Younghyun called for him to come onto the set to film his scene with Chaewon who had just changed costume.

hyunjin chuckled, rolling to his side as he held his phone close, the sound of jeongins' voice calming him.

Ever since their first appearance on the big screen, Yoon Chaewon and Yang Jeongin have been well-loved by the public, their off and on screen chemistry undeniable with the pair being close friends.

Fans have started speculating about their relationship with one another - was it just platonic or something more?

Just today, Yoon Chaewon's agency, Mnet Entertainment, officially announced that the pair were dating and have been dating for a while.

With the confirmation from her company, it's only a matter of time before Yang Jeongin's company speaks up about it.
