"You can let go now," Hyunjin said, taking his seat on the bus as Jeongin followed suit, still tightly gripping onto his hand before shaking his head and keeping their fingers interlocked.
Hyunjin felt blood rush to his face at Jeongins' refusal to let go and thanked the heavens above for the black mask that covered nearly half of his face and prevented Jeongin from seeing how red his cheeks had become.
Throughout the bus ride, Hyunjin stared out of the window, letting his thoughts bring him back to a time when the sky was painted a light blue and two young boys sat in the middle of a field picking flowers, the younger of the two slowly crafting a flower crown with every flower he picked.
"Jinnie! Is this pretty?" he had asked, his eyes sparkling as he smiled at the older and placed the crown on his own head, twirling around and around until his foot got caught on a rock which caused him to fall right on his bum. "Jinnie!" He yelped, immediately calling for the older boy who came rushing to help the second he fell down.
"Why're you crying?" He had asked then, slowly wiping the tears from the younger boys' face before quickly taking a handkerchief from his bag and wrapping it around the small scar that had formed on his leg. "Don't be such a crybaby Innie," he whispered, cupping the youngers' face in his hands.
The little boy then had pouted at him, his eyebrows furrowed as he pushed him away, crossing his arms right after. "Me being a crybaby will come in handy when I eventually become a movie star! Just you wait!"
He remembered the older of the pair laughing and immediately standing up, offering his hand to the pouting boy who took it despite the fact that he had wanted to throw a tantrum at him.
"I'll wait Innie."
And, as if on cue, he felt the grip on his hand loosen as a weight fell on perfectly on his shoulder. He glanced sideways to see that same boy back then peacefully sleeping on his shoulder, completely unaware of the fact that he had done exactly what he said he would back then.
"I'll wait Innie," he whispered, gently running his other hand through Jeongins' hair. Hyunjin sighed, putting his hand down as he watched the view pass him by. "I waited for you but it doesn't seem like you waited for me."
Jeongin shuffled in his sleep, his fingers suddenly pressing against Hyunjins' palm causing the older of the pair to bite his lip to prevent himself from screaming.
All of a sudden, Jeongin sat upright, beads of sweat trailing down his forehead despite the fact that the bus was freezing cold.
Jeongin looked down at his nails were practically digging into Hyunjins' skin and immediately retracted them, a tiny gasp escaping his lips as he brought Hyunjins' hand up and started massaging it, trying in vain to remove the crescent marks he had left on his skin.
"Hyung I'm so-"
"We're here." Hyunjin stood up, dragging Jeongin along as they alighted at their stop. The second they exited the bus, the cold air greeted them causing Jeongin to instinctively shiver. "It's so cold today...wait hyung, what're you doing?"
Hyunjin took off his jacket and slowly draped it over Jeongins' shoulders, looking straight ahead as he did so, unable to meet his eyes because if he did, he was sure that he would pull the boy into his arms and envelop him in warmth ( which, he didn't want to do because he had a reputation to maintain ).
"Aren't you cold?" Jeongin asked but despite that, he gratefully took the jacket and held it closer to himself.
Hyunjin shook his head, walking faster than him to try and hide the chattering of his teeth.

"Um...I'm a bi-big fan of yours! Ca-can I take a picture wi-with you?"
Hyunjin rolled his eyes as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
Ever since Jeongin had sat down and lowered his mask, Hyunjin could hear people gasp and sooner than later, more and more of them approached the pair, completely ignoring him and keeping Jeongin preoccupied.
And, as expected, Jeongin never denied any of his fans a picture.
Unlike him, Hyunjin had kept his mask on as he glared at every person that walked over and requested for Jeongins' attention.
Although he remained quiet half the time as he watched Jeongin smile for every picture and sign autographs, his patience was wearing thin.
Another fan walked up to them and Hyunjin immediately noticed that she was getting far too close to Jeongins' face as she talked in a sultry voice, clearly trying to seduce Jeongin but since the latter was completely oblivious to it, he continued smiling at her.
She flipped her hair to the other side, exposing her neck as she continued talking in a husky whisper and when she placed her hand on Jeongins' thigh, he saw the younger boy tense under her touch as the smile on his face wavered. When she started caressing his thigh, Hyunjin stabbed the knife against the table, completely lodging the blade into the wooden table.
"I suggest you take three steps away from him or I will break your wrist." He lowered his mask and smiled at her, yanking the knife out of the table and slowly twirling it around.
From the corner of his eye, he saw phones recording the entire scene and for a second, he felt a slight tinge of fear for his image.
But only for a second.
"Well? Are you going to move?" He asked, meeting her eyes as the smile never left his face.
Jeongin lightly kicked him under the table as if trying to stop him from scaring the girl any further but Hyunjin didn't care, standing up and walking towards the girl who stumbled backwards.
Hyunjin tilted his head slightly and folded his arms as the girl pointed at him and looked around. "He's psychotic!" she screamed, her voice shrill as it pierced through the silence that followed Hyunjins' threat.
"And you're violating his personal space," Hyunjin said, his voice laced with venom despite the sweet smile on his face.
He heard the murmurs getting louder as his name fell from their lips, many questioning why he was acting in such a way.
"Jeongin oppa isn't complaining," she huffed, trying to size Hyunjin up but immediately cowering in fear when he stepped even closer to her.
"That's because he's too polite to do so but the good thing is-" Hyunjin picked up the flower vase filled with water and stared right into her eyes, a smirk appearing on his face. "-I'm not." He doused the water over her head, the flowers falling unceremoniously by her feet.
And, before she could even utter a word, Hyunjin took Jeongins' hand in his and, with him in tow, left the restaurant, unafraid of the consequences that were to follow.
