Samus left the arena and found a terminal with a hand scanner next to it which she scanned.
"Target is a trigger for the ring system buried below the mantle. Once activated the ring system will rise and the planet will be torn apart."
"It's not my place to decide the fate of trillions of innocent lifeforms but this is truly the only way to end this crisis and stop the x parasites from escaping from here." She sighed and deactivated her suit , placing her bare hand on the scanner. Pieces unfolded and clamped around her hand as it scanned for chozo dna. Red lights ran along her hand before turning green. The device retracted and she reactivated her suit . The ground slowly began to rumble and quickly got more intense . Samus shinesparked upward through the roof of the room and arrived back on top of the plateau. The rumbling got more intense and she knew she had no time to waste.
- Meanwhile in orbit above the planet the battle raged on. Onboard the GFS Olympus the crew began monitoring the planet as their computer systems fed them the latest data.
"Sir. We're registering a chain reaction from the planet. Something is breaking up the planet from the inside. It's accelerating, the planet is going to explode!"
"That's our cue to move out. That's definitely the result of something Samus did. Order the fleet to retreat immediately!" Admiral Dane announced to his crew."
The federation ships quickly ceased fire and began a full retreat , the remaining pirate vessels moved away also as the energy surge on the planet accelerated even more.
- Samus sprinted upward into a cave system that she believed led to the surface. The ground was collapsing all round her and she was having trouble staying on her feet . The ground caved in on the slope she was climbing and she began sliding down as the slope began moving further up. As she tumbled and was about to be swallowed by the planet a hand reached out and grabbed her, she looked up and saw weavel pulling her up. Together the two of them sprinted out of the cave and were now back on the surface of the planet. The gunship was infront of them a short distance away . The ground below them raised high and the two of them were thrown forward and landed on top of the gunship. They rolled off the sides and quickly entered the hatch on the bottom. Samus hurried into the cockpit seat and immediately took off. Weavel lay on the ground behind her . The gunship flew up into the atmosphere and departed the planet for the final time, leaving behind all evidence that metroids and x parasites ever existed. Samus powered up the hyperdrive and manoeuvred through the debris field of the battle that was raging while she was on the surface . Right as she entered hyperspace, the entire planet collapsed on itself and exploded outward!
It was all over.
