Today was the day I go look at wedding venues for the wedding. My mother, aunt Kim, Ming, and my sisters joined me. Justin had a last-minute thing to do so he couldn't make it. He doesn't seem to be too interested in the details anyway. "And here we can have the ceremony, it has a lot of windows to let in the light." the manager of the venue walks us around a small chapel. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for but I let her show me. "This is pretty small," I say looking around. "This is nice but it won't fit as many guests as we need," my wedding planner Macy says."How many people are we looking to sit?" she asked. "About 450," I say. "We do have another location across town if you wanted to schedule to see that. It holds up to 600 people. I think you will like that better," she smiled directing us out of the chapel. "Thank you I will be in touch to schedule." Macy shakes her hand. We head out to the truck.
"I didn't like it in there," Auntie Kim shook her head. "Yeah, it was way too dark, even at 2 o'clock in the afternoon," Tori said agreeing. "I have a few more locations we can look at over the next couple of weeks," Macy said. "Where are we going next?" London asked. "We have to go and taste cakes," Macy said. "How are we doing this without Justin?" Ming whispered to me. "I wanted him to come but he had a last-minute situation to handle," I inform her.
"Do you know what kind of cake Justin likes?" Macy asked.
"He said he wanted me to pick everything out," I tell her. "Does he realize it's his wedding too?" my mother asked. "Yea but he's not really into the planning part of the wedding," I shrug. "Most, men aren't interested," Macy tried to comfort me. I smile as we pull into the parking lot of the bakery. We entered through the back and into a small room. We waited for the baker to come in.
"Bells, please do not pick a bland flavor," Ken rubbed her belly. "Oh trust me I won't," I laughed. A few minutes later the baker came in along with Justin. "Surprise," he smiled pulling up a chair next to me. "I thought you couldn't make it?" I give him a kiss. "The meeting ended early and I felt bad about missing the planning of the wedding. It's important to you so it's important to me," he looked me in my eye. I couldn't help but blush.
"Let's get started!" Macy said. "Okay so, I have four different flavors here today," the baker began as she slid all of us a piece of cake. "The first one is strawberry shortcake," she smiled. I took a bite of it and look over at Justin. "Do you like it?" I ask. "It's pretty good," he said placing a kiss on my cheek making me blush a little. "I really like this," my mom says eating the last piece. I laugh at her as we continue with the tasting.
"Alright next we have a lemon cake," she said. "Is a lemon cake appropriate for a wedding?" my mother tilted her head. "I've seen chocolate cakes at weddings before. The flavor of the cake can't be inappropriate." Macy smiled. "Sounds good to me, but I'll want my own personal cake anyway, so I can take it with me after," I say. We begin to eat lemon cake. It felt like heaven in my mouth. Everyone else made funny faces. "This is bitter," Ming said and everyone including Justin agreed. "But I like it," I look around the table. "This can be the flavor of your personal cake baby," Justin said rubbing my belly. "Okay, but can I get one to go today?" I ask the baker.
"Yes, of course!" she smiled. I did my little happy girl dance. After finishing up the cake tasting we all decided on the strawberry shortcake. I got my cake to go and we all walked out. Justin walked me over to the truck holding my hand. "Am I off the hook?" he came just inches away from my lips and spoke lowly. I bit my lip and smirked. "Maybe," I said.
"I've missed you," he smiled finally placing a kiss on my lips. "I've missed you more Justin," I look him in his brown eyes. "What are you guys doing next?" he asks as we get closer to the truck. "I feel like we have one more venue to look at and then we probably will go eat lunch or maybe go back to our house," I tell him. "Okay do you want me to go with you to the venue?" he asks. I nod my head yes. "Come ride with me then," he said. I got butterflies in my stomach. "Okay," I smile.
"I'm riding with Justin," I tell Macy. "I'll send you the address," she says to Justin. He nodded and we walked over to his car. Justin opened the door for me and I slid in. He shut it and jogged around to the driver's seat. He placed his hand on my thigh as we followed behind the truck. I smile to myself. "You look beautiful," he says.
"Thank you, babe," I rubbed his hands. "I want to take you out tonight,"
"Where?" I ask.
"Dinner, we haven't had a date night in a while. I've been so busy with meetings and video shoots. I want to spend some one on one time with my girl," he smiles over at me. "I like that," I tell him. "What's been going on lately?" he asked.
"I have been doing a lot of maternity modeling. Elisa has been keeping me busy with her schedule of playdates, school activities, and dance classes."
"I'm sorry I haven't been around lately. I wish I could be of more help to you," Justin sighed. I could tell by the look on his face he was being sincere. I knew it wasn't his fault that he hasn't been home these last couple of weeks. He was rehearsing for tour that would start in a few months. The album was about to release in a few weeks and it was crunch time.
I place my hand on top of his and rub his knuckles. "Don't worry about it honey, you have to do what you have to do and I am here to support you," I tell him. He sighed, "I know but it just sucks because I see you guys maybe once a week and it's only for a couple of hours. I want to be home playing with Elisa, reading her bed time stories, laying with you, eating dinner, and something else," he winked making me laugh.
"I want all of that too but I'm proud of what you're doing and as soon as I drop the twins you'll be home on a break from tour and everything will be fine," I rub the back of his head and massage his neck. "I love you," he looks over at me and smiles. I return the smile.
"It looks like we're here," Justin said pulling into a parking lot. "This looks beautiful Jus," I said opening the door. He rushed to my side and helped me out of the car. We stood in awe at the tall building which was completely see through. "I hope it's as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside," I smile grabbing Justins hand as we follow the group inside. As soon as we stepped in I stopped.
"Woah!" I said looking around. "This is amazing!" Ming came up next to me. I look at her and smile. "I think this is it," I say. " This is definetly it," Tori came up on my other side. "I'm glad you like it. It seats up to seven hundred people, which is more than enough space. Since the wedding is at night the moonlight will come through the windows," Macy said as we walked through the Church.
"I am sorry I'm running late," a nun smiled rushing in. "I'm sister Bernadette, it is my very pleasure to meet you," she said shaking my hand and doing the same to Justin. "It's great to meet you! This is so beautiful," I tell her. "It's my favorite chapel out of all of the ones here. Sometimes I sit in here and pray and think. Let me show you something that makes it cool. Stay right here," she disappeared to the back. "Okay now watch the windows!" she says loudly. I turn my attention to the windows and watch them fog up and little crystals appear as if it was a winter night. My mouth completely dropped. "Babe this is it," I squeal walking up to Justin. He wrapped his arms around me. We rocked back and forth. "I don't need to see anything else after this," I tell Macy.
"I am so happy for you princess," Auntie Kim came up to me and placed a kiss on my cheek. "Thanks auntie Kim," I lay my head on her shoulder. "Alright, who's ready for lunch?" mama asks. "I am definitely hungry," Ken rubbed her belly. We all walked outside to the truck. Justin grabbed my arm. "I'll pick you up from the house at 8 tonight," he kissed me. "Okay, don't be late, a matter of fact if you come early you might receive a little something," I pull him closer and look him in the eye.
"Oh really?" he held my waist. I nod. "In that case I'll see you at 6, and be naked in bed waiting for me," he said before letting me go and walking away. I smile to myself and get inside of the truck.
