Episode 6: My Apology
School ended really quick and I went straight to Angel's class. I waited for her outside. It took more than an hour before she came out, darn Spanish teacher.
"Hey Angel! Could I talk to you for a while?" I asked her.
"I'm busy so make it quick." she said.
"Listen, I didn't mean it as an offense ok? In fact, I only meant to say that you know,you kind of made me look bad there. I'm sorry if I offended you ok? Please don't ignore me it's kinda hard, we practically have the same lessons it's only that you take spanish and I take French. Everything else we're in the same class and to say the truth it was hell not being able to talk to you. I passed two notes in class and I saw you crushing both of them. So will you please forgive me already?" I asked with all the sincerity I could cook up. She just stared at me unbelievingly.
"Well?" I asked half-curiously.
"Ok." she muttered.
"That's it?" I asked doubtfully.
"Yes." she said matter-of-factly.
"So um, can I have your number?" I asked shyly.
"Maybe next time." she smiled and walked away. Thank god she accepted my apology. I thought she'd be angrier but turns out I was wrong. Oh well. That's one less problem in my head.
The next day,
In class, I couldn't help but realize the fact that I can't stop staring at Angel. After all I had a perfect angle to her and I just wanted time to stop. But then again this was just the second day anyway. I figured might as well take things slowly if I'm truely and sincerely liking her. Or maybe I love her. Gee, I don't know. Damn I'm lost. I was shocked by the teacher when she slammed my table and somehow appeared right in front of me. I could've sworn I saw her still at the board through my peripherals.
"Perhaps Mister Bridge can tell us what about Miss Redfield is so enticing that he has to have stared at her for the past hour?" Miss Faye said. I just kept mum as she walked away.
"There is detention for you by the way, just in case you thought there wouldn't be." she quickly added. A while later I received a note.
"Hey, why were you staring at me?" I smiled at that.
"Because you were too pretty to resist" I wrote back.
"Um, ok. You wanna catch a movie after school or something?"
"Would definitely love to"
"What about detention?"
"Fuck detention"
"Oh ok."
I didn't reply that. There was just nothing to reply to it. But movie after school with an Angel. This is going to be exciting. I just knew it.
