An Angel's Heart:

Season 3 Episode 12: My Stupidity

"What? Why?" Ryan asked. Exchanging glances with Jessica.

"Yeah. Why? What the hell did you dream that made you change your mind?" Jessica also asked.

"Nothing. I can't do it. It's too soon." I responded.

"Bullshit." Ryan insinuated blatantly.

"Shut up Ryan." I threw the ball back.

He walked away. Jessica shook her head and went back to doing her things.

Hours later,

In Angel's head,

"Where the hell is Ty? Relax Angel. He's coming." I seemed to be telling myself. I closed my eyes, counted to five then slowly squinted them open. Nope. He isn't here.

"What the hell?". I muttered under my breath.

At night,

Back to Tyler,

It had been all day. I haven't even called her. Should I? No. Yes. Fuck I don't know. With trembling hands I held my phone and dialed her number in slowly. Unwillingly, I pressed the call button.

"Hello?" she answered.

"Hey! Angel! It's me Ty." I said cheerfully.

"What do you want Tyler? It's 2 AM in the morning." she asked dozily.

"Yeah I know." I asked. Breathing hard. Knowing my next words carried a lot of weight.

"Angel, look, I'm sorry if I.." I tried to say.

"Ty, we'll leave everything for tomorrow when dawn breaks, ok? I'm really tired and my ass hurts for sitting for two hours on some old chair that seems broken. It might've been endurable if you WERE there. But you weren't. So I'm going back to Perth this weekend." she said. My heart raced.

Say something?

Or not?

My hands trembled softly as I made a decision.

"Goodnight Ty." she said and hung up. The dead ring of the dialer tone from my phone rang. Then my phone disconnected automatically. I sat estranged. I felt stupid. I slapped myself and went to bed.

The next day,

I woke up and checked my phone for anything I had to do, John. I had to do John? I laughed at my little joke about how feminine John was about everything. I got up and got changed. And started my little walk to John's house. I then sent Angel a little message.

"Hey, reply me when you can. We really need to talk." it read.

I knocked on John's door.

"Oh hey! For once you were early." he said.

"I need to talk to you about something, John." I said without hesitation.

"What is it about?"

"Remember that girl I once told you about?" I asked as he guided me onto the couch slowly.

"I told you, you can refer her to Rebecca now. You don't need to call her a girl that you.."

"I mean that she's another girl. Angel."

"Come what now?"

"Angel. Oh yeah I never told you her name. She's Angelina Redfield. She lived in Brisbane but moved to Perth a few years back." I explained.
