Episode 5: My Missed opportunities
I opened my eyes and saw Brad there with that girl.
"Hey you're awake! Sorry I couldn't get there in time man I swear to god. Why'd you mess with him anyway? He's a senior here and the star quaterback! You must have been crazy thinking you could've dealt with him anyway!" Brad said.
"Well I was the star quaterback in high school! Besides, if he's really a senior we won't be seeing him after fall." I said.
"I'm going go grab a mother man, you want one?" Brad said.
"Get out of here" I said and looked at the girl.
"Hey beautiful, I didn't quite catch your name just now. You mind telling me now?" I said while smiling to her.
"It's Angelina you blockhead!" she said and smiled at me.
"Mine's Tyler. Wait a sec, where am I?" I asked her.
"You're in the sick bay you crazy bastard. Sorry about Eugene, he isn't alway like that." she said. I couldn't help but look into her crystal blue eyes.
"Hey at least your boyfriend cares about you yeah?" I tested her.
"Oh he's not my boyfriend, we've gone out two times and he acts like he owns me. You guys are all the same" she said with a disappointed look. I didn't know what to say. The next few seconds were awkward.
"Well I've got to go now, catch you later." she said and looked at me like she expected me to say something. But I didn't. She left almost immediately. Two missed opportunities. I cursed at myself or being such a moron.
2 hours later, during recess,
I left the sick bay without the nurse's permission and went to the cafeteria. I saw Brad and walked up to him.
"You freaking idiot I said no to a mother not no to you coming back" I said and smacked his head.
"Oh! Right I knew that... I knew that.. Shit, dude Eugene's behind you we should move man." Brad said. Too late.
"Hey Bridge! I think we have some unsettled business you pussy." he said and walked straight up to my face. Before I could say anything Angelina cut in.
"I swear to god Eugene if you as much as lay your hair on him I'll stop talking to you." She said.
"What now fag? You need a GIRL to step in for you? Might as well call your mom! Take note little frog, we're not done yet." he said with a threatening tone. He then signaled his 'boys' away and they left.
"I didn't need your help you know, that was kinda embarassing. Now everyone's gonna think I'm a wuss!" I said to Angelina.
"You boys are all the same, always trying to be the alpha male. I just didn't want to see you get hurt again because of me." she said and stomped off.
"Well she seems upset." Brad said.
"Shut up man".
