An Angel's Heart:

Season 2 Episode 1: Rejection

I waited excitedly for her reply. But she just stared at me in disbelief.

"So in the end it's all still about me being your girlfriend?" she asked in a demanding tone.

"No! We could stay friends, really.." I tried to say.

"Oh. Ok. Guess I overreacted huh?" she said with a smile.

"Cmon, pancakes are ready. Let's go have em'!" she added. After breakfast, I went back to my dorm. I couldn't believe what had just happened. I closed my eyes and tears rolled out. No scratch that, they flowed out from my eyes like the fuckin' Niagra Falls. I just wanted to kill myself. But no, she was just another girl, I told myself. I got up and turned on my computer to surf the net. I posted this on my facebook status update: "My face is now the Niagra Falls". I then turned off the monitor and went to a quick nap. When I got up a half hour later, I saw that Angel had commented on it.

"Why? Did you sweat loads? Haha(:"

"Nothing. Yeah I went jogging so I'm sweating like a hog."

"Oh ok, remember to do your homework before school starts again! We've only two more days!"

I didn't reply to that. I just sat there. Watching the screen. She acted as though nothing happened. I told myself I had to forget about her.

Later, in the afternoon,

I was rudely awakened by the banging on the door.

"Open up already godamnit!" a female voice said. And I recognized it. It was clearly Grace Murray's voice. Grace was Angel's best friend.

"What what? What the fuck do you want?" I said rudely. Still angry at what Angel did to me.

"What the fuck did you do to Angel? She's now crying in her room because of you you little piece of ssh! Never mind, just go and talk to her or something!" she said in a frantic tone. She's crying? Bullshit I don't even have enough time to finish wiping my tears from the third time I've cried and she's crying? I picked up some stuff and ran over to her dorm.

I knocked on the door three times but all I could hear was crying and sniffling. I was afraid something would go wrong so I rammed the door down and tumbled over the floor. I ran to Angel and she looked very shocked.

"Wha? What are you doing here?" she asked softly.

"Well why are you crying then? You had me worried" I said. She jumped towards me and hugged me tightly ad started bawling.

"I thought that you didn't want to be my friend any more! I didn't know what to do, it's just that I thought you'd take it easily and, and that you'd just stay as my friend but when you didn't pick up any of my calls or text messages I started to think that you'd hate me for something so I felt lost and called Grace. I don't know what I did but I remember chasing her out and crying loudly." she said while crying. I couldn't hear much because she was crying really loudly. But I could make out the main words.

"Don't be silly Angel, you know I'll always be around. It's just that I fell asleep you silly little girl." I said and held her close. I stroked her hair and kissed her cheeks softly. She continued to cry and beat my chest calling me 'dumbass' for leaving her here. Then I looked at her and she looked into my eyes. Exactly like this morning but this time, it's different. "Yes." she said smiling.

"Yes what?" I asked.

"I didn't exactly answer your question this morning did I? I only asked you another question." she said smiling to me.

"Wait, really?!" I asked, obviously very happy.

"Yes! Yes!" she said and I picked her up immediately as she said it and carried her around the room using the fireman's lift shouting

"Yay I'm Angel's boyfriend now!". She giggled as I did all those.

Then I put her down and as we were about to go out, we both stopped at the same time and looked at each other with the HOLY-SHIT kind of look. What about the door?
