An Angel's Heart:

Season 2 Episode 11: The escape

The spiked bat was coming down on my left leg, they thought they had gotten me, but I moved my leg back as it came down and Eugene hit guy four on his shin. There was blood and flesh everywhere and guy four screamed. I promptly squeezed away and ran back to the car.

"Hey! Godamnit you useless morons he's getting away go get him!" Eugene screamed and threw a normal bat at the car. It hit the boot and fell off. I felt a sudden urge to smirk, but I just opened the window and pointed the finger to him. I then started the car and Eugene tried to turn to run away. But I ran over his foot and he screamed. I then drove off. Problem 7. solved. I don't think he will want to look for me in a while.

We got to Mount Tambourine in another 2 hours and I set things up while she slept. Then I lay underneath the stars wondering. This all started 5 months ago. What have I done? Sure as heck, I didn't accomplish anything. I'm not even sure who my friends are anymore. And as I was in deep thought, I heard a click. I turned around and saw Rebecca walking out towards me.

"Sorry, did I wake you up?" she asked.

"No, no it's ok. Come over." I said quietly.

So she walked over and sat down, to which I offered her a can of beer and a sandwich.

"No it's ok, I'm not hungry. But I do want a beer though." she said and grabbed the can. She then opened it and we started drinking together.

"So why'd you want to come here anyway?" I asked.

"Because I love it here at night. It's uh, romantic." she said and stared at little fire I had made a while ago. I then kissed her. She then lay down on the mat and we started kissing for a while. But the person in my head, even though I was kissing her, was not her. It was Angel. Something had happened for sure. I have to know what. But in a way or another I'll find out what had happened. Then she lay back and took another sip.

"Are you ok?" I asked her.

"It's her isn't it?" she said and looked at me.

"Uhh." I mumbled and she interrupted me.

"It's ok. Really. If you want to confront her." she said and smiled.

"How do you know?" I asked. Curious because she, clearly, didn't know Angel. Or did she?

"Hey, I don't know who she is but it's been three times. Every time we somehow walk past her, you'd stare. I know she's probably your ex, maybe your crush? But if you want to, go there. Go for her. Finish things, then maybe come back to me? There's no need to feel awkward. I only want to know the truth." she said in a long breath. I spaced out for a while.

"I also know that there's no need for you to move our or feel wrong living with me. Tell you what, I'll let you stay till you get your room back. How's that?" she said and smiled at me.

I smiled. But it wasn't real. It couldn't be. It just couldn't.
