An Angel's Heart:

Season 2 Episode 13: My Search

I strutted down the hall to Grace's current class. Biology. As I walked into the classroom the stench of decomposing animal matter filled my nose. I winced to the smell and looked at the class. She wasn't here.

"I'm sorry young man. May I help you?" Miss Roberts asked.

"I'm justing looking for Grace. Do you happen to know where she is?" I asked as politely. Clearly everyone in the class could see my tear filled face.

"She isn't coming today. I think she went to the Office earlier this morning. I'm not too sure." she said.

"The Office? What for?"

"Well I don't know." she shrugged.

"Ok. Thank you Miss Roberts." I bowed slightly and left. The office? Strange. She always hated the Authority of the office. I walked down the hallway, scanning every face I walk past. Nothing much here. I had actually hoped to see her on the way up or something, I didn't.

Then I remembered that Angel supposedly still lived in MY dorm. I laughed at the thought. So I briskly walked there. Upon reaching I opened my own door to see my old roommate in bed with some random chick.

"Hey Ryan. Where's Angel?" I said while poking his leg.

"Wha? Oh hey man. Never thought I'd see you again." he said.

"Dude, were you crying?" he probed.

"No. Where's Angel?" I asked. Avoiding his suspicious glance.

"I think she left or something Brah. Like two weeks back. Said she didn't want to live here anymore. Said it hurt her too much or something. Chicks and their emotions." he chuckled.

"Left for where?" I said, hoping he could think back two weeks before.

"Don't know Brah. I think back to her own dorm? I mean it's like fixed. The door." he said while rubbing his teary eyes.

"So you have no idea at all?" I asked again.

"Naw. She just packed up two weeks ago. Said it hurt blah blah blah. Then she left after leaving a note on your table." he said and started scratching the girl's ass.

"Ok. Thanks man. You've helped loads." I said gratefully.

"Yeah whatever dude. Glad to help." he said sarcastically.

A note? Yeah Angel loved little notes. She would stick these stuff everywhere. In my underwear drawer, in my wallet, in my car, hell, on my face when I'm sleeping. I looked on the tabletop and sure enough, there it was. I didn't know what was written on it though. I didn't dare to look. But I had to. So I did. It reads:

Dear Tyler.

I know this is a little pathetic for a goodbye. I know I should've talked to you face on. But I couldn't. Eugene said he would break you leg if I didn't break your heart. So I chose to leave you. I couldn't imagine the pain of watching you limping everytime you walked. I love you Ty. But you didn't ask why. You didn't look for me. You hurt me. You went and left me for some Rebecca girl. And for that I don't know what to say. I love you Ty but we have to move on. You didn't give me a sign or anything. So I'm leaving. Goodbye Ty.

I had hoped to say that to you personally.

Love, loads of it,

Angel<3.

Oh. Shit.
