An Angel's Heart:

Season 2 Episode 9: All we ever do is say goodbye.

I got out from the pool and went for a quick shower. I then grabbed by box of cigarettes and a lighter and went out to the front porch. I lit a couple up and left them to burn on the floor. I then wondered what everything was about anyway. Oh well, I've no time to be emotional, I still gotta get some groceries.

I got into the 4WD and drove 15 miles to a nearby woolworths, where I bought more cigarettes and some milk. I then settled with a taco for lunch. Oh and some mother too.

Then after a while I received a call.

"Hey what was with that boyfriend stuff? Hehe still I must thank you for it, my friends now think I'm awesome." Rebecca's easily recognizable voice filled my ears.

"Oh don't think too much about it, you ARE my girlfriend right?" I asked.

"Oh course! Haha why?" she told me.

"Oh nothing. Did you call me just to thank me?" I asked her.

"Um, school ended early, do you mind picking me up?" she asked in a cute girl tone.

"Sure! I was, in fact, waiting for your call!" I said.

"Oh ok! Thank you baby!" she said and hung up. It felt funny when she called me that. Because I was Angel's baby. Sheesh I'm with Rebecca now I gotta get Angel outta my head.

A while later,

I got to Rebecca's school in 10 minutes. She got on, said goodbye to her friends then grab my face and kissed me.

"I missed you!" Rebecca said hugging me.

Wow. It's been six hours and she missed me already.

"Oh I uh, missed you too! Where to now?" I asked, changing the topic.

She wanted me to drive to Mount Tambourine. Wow. That was far. Really far. But I started there anyway. Then we drove past a sign

"Yatala-30 miles".

"Hey we gotta get something from here! I swear you won't regret this baby." I told her. She nodded and we drove into Yatala.

"Do you love pies baby?" I asked her.

"Sure! I'm crazy about pies!" she said smiling.

So we drove in to the famous "Yatala Pies". And I'll be damned, those pies are just fucking A. We bought some pies and a little picnic basket and got back to the car. Before I could ask her about Mount Tambourine, she was asleep. But she wanted to go and I didn't want to question her, so I drove us to a nearby pit stop to buy a few pillows and a blanket. At the checkout though, I saw that person again, staring at me.
