Scarlet

I wake up with a foggy memory and a slight headache.I sit up on the bed and judging by the scent I would say it's Alex's room.I look around as I realise that my senses are heightened.I can smell some spaghetti from the kitchen and I can hear someone tapping something on a table.

I try to listen for something else when I hear someone's footsteps approach the door.The door opens and Alex struts in looking like a Greek god.I look into his eyes and gasp when I feel a pull and hear my wolf say 'mate' in my head.

I stand up and walk towards a frozen Alex and touch his cheek.I gasp as I feel tingles burst through me and realise that all this time Alex was my mate.

"Did you know?"I whisper it lowly afraid of what the answer might be.He looks at me confused and sniffs in the air.He looks at me surprised.

"Wait.You are a wolf and I didn't know.How?"I look at him and was about to answer him when I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen.I fall to the floor and cry in pain.

I feel a little better when Alex cradles me and whispers soothing words.I try to breath as the pain intensifies.

After a long while the pain finally dies down and I feel different and more powerful.I look at a surprised Alex and try to stand up.I look down when I realise that I just had my first shift.I try to stand up but fail a couple times before Alex helps me.

Once I get the hang of it I walk to the mirror and gasp when I see a White wolf stating back at me with silver captivating eyes.I almost jump when I hear a voice in my head and realise that must be my wolf.

'Hey Scarlet.My name is Zendaya.I am your wolf.'

'Wow Zendaya you are beautiful.'

'Actually it's both of us.Can we please go on a run with mate.'

'I can't now.Maybe next time I still have to talk to him.'

'Okay that's fine.Besides we need to be careful.'

'Careful?"

'Yes.We are after all the most rarest wolf and the most powerful at that.Hunters and vampires want us.'

That's when I remember what my mother told me about white wolf's.

When scarlet was five:

I walked downstairs and saw my mother sitting on the couch reading a book.I walked up to her and she hugged me closely.

"Hey momma.What are you reading?"She pulls me closer and chuckles.

"My little munchkin.I am about to tell you about the incredible white wolfs."I squeal in excitement and make myself comfortable on the couch as my mother starts telling me about white wolfs.

"The white wolf's are the most rarest wolf's.They are chosen by the moon goddess for a very special mission.They all have different powers.There is only one very special white wolf that has all the powers.She can control water,land,air and fire.She can also go to places using her mind and she can also she the future."

"Momma how are you sure that the wolf is not a he?"She smiles proudly.

"Oh my baby girl.I love how you consider everyone.You would make a lovely Luna one day.I know that it is a girl because your witch Aunt Miranda told me.She showed me the future.Promise me one thing my baby.When you get your mate you will love him unconditionally no matter what rank he is."

"I promise Momma."

End of Flashback.

I look at my reflection once more and smile proudly.I am one of the special white wolf's my mom told me about.

'Zendaya how do I shift back?'

'Just close your eyes and imagine your human form.'

I imagine my body and I feel my body going back to normal.As soon as I am shifted a towel is wrapped around me.

I take of the towel and gasp when I see that instead of being naked like most wolf's after they have shifted back I am in a leather maroon jumpsuit.

"Okay we need to have a long talk about what is going on here."I nod and he holds my hand as we sit know the bed.I don't say anything as he cuddles me into his chest.

"Okay let's start with why I couldn't smell that you are a werewolf."I sigh and decide to tell him everything from the beginning.

"When I was seven my mother fetched me from school.When we got home we realised something was wrong.She told me to stay in the car.I then saw some rouges shoot her and I ran.I ran as fast and as far away as I could.After a day I decided to go back.When I got there I saw my mother's body on the couch with a book on her lap,my father's body in his study and my brothers body in his room on his bed."

I fake a deep breath feeling tears I  my eyes.Reliving that moment is very hard.

"I ran out the house and went to my aunts house.She is a witch so she told me that she feared this was going to happen.She gave me a perfume that hides my scent.She told me to run and to hide from the rouges because they are out for blood.I have been running from a young age.When I was thirteen I met a guy who taught me how to race.He taught me all I need to know.We dated for a while and he told me he loved me,but I fled when I realised he is not my mate.I ran and ran so I now ended up here.I was hoping that you could teach me how to fight here so I can defend myself."

I could feel Alex shaking in anger.I pull his face towards me and softly kiss his cheek.He calmed down and he inhaled my scent while kissing my neck.I shudder as he kisses the place where he will soon mark me.

"Now I will tell you my story."I nod.

"When I will first shifted when I was sixteen I was happy to find my mate.I look through my pack,but no girl was my mate.I looked for a long time and my father got impatient so he wanted me to mate with Genevieve the packs warrior daughter.I refused ,but I had no choice.The day I brought your car was the day supposed to be mating with her.As soon as I realised I found you I immediately chased her out."

I smile in satisfaction when I realised he wanted me from the beginning.We sit like that for a while and just have small talk about everything we want and expect from the other.
