TWENTY:
a night to grow
♠️

"Throughout the rest of the night, there were three words that had accidentally left his lips as he worshipped her body with his mouth and hands; three words that she did not hear, but was still stuck in his mind the second they came out..."

Blaze ran a hand through his hair lazily, finally finishing the last bit of his work for the day. After yelling at one of his employees for almost losing a shipment and, on top of that, trying to figure out who was stupid enough to try to have him and Ellie killed, Blaze was done with work and wanted nothing better to do than collapse on the bed and sleep for days.

For the last three days, Blaze had tried to get Ellie out of bed. She stayed in the same spot for another day before it was time to go back to the house since there was no threat. She was silent the entire way home, went back into her room the second she reached the house, and curled back into a ball filled of her own loneliness.

At first, she tried to get him to have sex with her. Blaze understood why; she wanted an outlet for what she was feeling and the last she she wanted was to talk about it. But when he rejected that option, Ellie blocked him out, too. The last few days was Dimitri being taught by Sebastian as he filled in for Ellie, and even Archer got nothing out of her whenever he went in the room to talk with her.

Blaze tried to busy himself with work whenever Archer was with Ellie, but his mind always trailed back to the broken girl one way or another. He was growing more and more scared as the days went by, and he was running out of options to help her.

He walked into the room and immediately stepped into darkness, making him squint. He gave himself a few moments to become adjusted to the darkness of the bedroom before closing the door behind him. He could make out Ellie's silhouette from under the blankets and he sighed softly, walking closer to her.

"Hey, baby," Blaze whispered, kissing her shoulder. Ellie opened her eyes and glanced at him before she turned her head, simply puckering her lips as she awaited a kiss. He grinned softly, leaning down and pressing a quick yet soft kiss to her lips, moving his hand through her matted hair as best he could.

"Hi," Ellie murmured, her voice groggy from just waking up.

"How're you feeling?" Blaze sat next to her, kissing her shoulder again before wrapping an arm around her waist.

"Pretty good," Ellie answered him, turning around and resting her head on his chest. "Much better than yesterday."

Blaze smiled with relief, tilting her head up and kissing her again. Ellie's hand moved to his hair and she sighed softly, holding his shirt with her other hand. She made no objections when Blaze flipped her onto her back, cupping her jaw. Ellie moaned quietly, gasping as Blaze's hips pressed down against hers, rolling forward in desperate friction. A whine left her lips when his lips suddenly left hers realizing what he was doing.

"Please, don't push me away again," Ellie whispered weakly, feeling him pull away. "Please, Blaze."

Blaze could see the plea in her eyes and he sighed, moving his head to the crook of her neck. Ellie was not in the right state of mind—she hasn't been for the past three days—but she had to talk to someone eventually, and Blaze was growing worried for her. Maybe she did need an outlet, though the sound of it was pretty bad, but she wanted—or needed—Blaze.
