"I know that I haven't told you much, but that stops right now—no more secrets, no more distance. Ask me anything, and I'll tell you the answer..."

Throughout the night, Blaze had said countless apologies. From the time the two finally got off of the floor, to the time they were going up the stairs, all the way to the bedroom, until Ellie had gotten him undressed and ready for bed. He snuck in small kisses whenever she glanced in his direction, or would give kisses to her shoulder or neck or forehead.

"Blaze, stop apologizing," Ellie tiredly mumbled, helping him into the washroom. She put some toothpaste on his brush and handed it to him. "I already said that it's okay."

She chuckled when he wrapped one of his arms around her, brushing his teeth as quick as he could. She followed his actions, brushing her teeth but much more careful with her actions than his. Once the two of them were finished, Blaze washed his brush off and buried his face in the crook of her neck.

"No." Blaze picked her up and Ellie gasped as he carried her to the bed. He gently put her on the bed, crawling in next to her. Once they were under the blankets, he moved one of Ellie's legs around his waist and he pulled her impossibly closer.

Blaze pulled back, examining her facial features through narrowed eyes. "I promise, I'll tell you anything you want to know tomorrow."

Ellie held her breath, looking between his eyes to see if he was lying. "Really?"

"Really. I'm going to be more open to you, Ellie." He kissed the corner of her lips, then began to run his fingers through her hair. "I'm sorry for acting up, it was immature of me."

Ellie hummed, kissing him. Blaze pulled her to his chest, sighing softly when she pulled away. He buried his head in the crook her neck once more, feeling Ellie pull him closer to him.

"It's alright, Blaze," she whispered.

"No, it isn't," Blaze grumbled, "and I promise that it ends tonight."

Ellie hummed. She knew that Blaze a difficult man, and she knew that it would take time before he was able to tell her things easily. He had trust issues and Ellie realized that, so she was not expecting any quick changes in the next few days... but she did know that Blaze was a man of his word, and if he remembered or not by tomorrow morning, Ellie would be sure to remind him.

Ellie woke up to the sound of the washroom door opening, followed by Blaze walking out in a towel. He had yet to notice that she was awake, going through the dresser as she watched his movements.

Finally, after ogling him for a good minute, she cleared her throat to catch his attention. Blaze quickly glanced behind his shoulder, a smile tugging at his lips when he saw Ellie.

"Morning, kotek," he greeted. "How'd you sleep?"

Ellie raised an eyebrow. "Besides having you suffocating me with your heavy-as-heck body, pretty well"—she had stood up at this point, walking towards Blaze— "how about you?"
