SIX:
an unreasonable lash
♠️"I'm weak. I've always been the unwanted one, so I'm used to hearing those kinds of words, especially from men like you..."

Ellie's movements were graceful yet cautious as she walked downstairs, wearing today outfit; a simple white off-the-shoulders dress with a light grey cardigan thrown over. However, she still kept her tall white cotton socks on so the cool ground didn't freeze her feet.
"Blaze said that you are permitted to go outside into the backyard," Sebastian spoke as he followed closely behind her, holding her straight when she almost slipped from the polished wood. "There's a pool, playground for Dimitri, and a hot tub. He had me go buy you a bathing suit just in case you ever wanted to go in."
Ellie held her clipboard close to her chest, squealing again when she slipped on the floor again. Sebastian was quick with his reflexes, holding her upright by her hips, chuckling quietly.
Ellie felt the smallest of smiles pull at her lips and she tugged her dress down slightly, biting her lip. She checked her clipboard, adding a few additional things of her own before crossing words out, thinking hard.
"Why can't I go into the town?" Ellie gently asked, frowning when Sebastian sighed but didn't say anything. "I want to go out, and talk to people, and not feel so trapped."
"This is a problem you should speak with Blaze—not me," Sebastian spoke, walking downstairs before turning around and waiting. He watched as Ellie held the rail and started walking down, afraid to fall and laughed softly.
"What is Ms. Ellie doing, Bash?" Dimitri asked, making Ellie flush red. "Is she afraid of heights?"
Sebastian laughed, extending his hand for Ellie to grab once she was close enough. She grabbed it and he helped her down, chuckling when she slid on the floor.
"Why don't you just take those socks off, El?" He questioned, making Ellie huff.
"No. They're soft and make my feet warm," she argued with pursed lips. "Did you buy the hot cocoa Dimitri and I asked for?"
He grinned which made Ellie smile with him. Ellie realized that she had learned to become close with Sebastian; he listened to her problems, made her laugh, and comforted her when Ellie needed it. It was much better with him around because he didn't treat her like she was a glass that could break at any second.
"You know I did," Sebastian said, guiding her into the kitchen and opening the cabinet.
Ellie smiled widely when she saw the giant jar of cocoa powder. She grabbed it, along with three mugs.
"I'm making you some cocoa, Dimitri," Ellie called out. She could immediately hear the small pitter-patter of Dimitri's feet sharpest the floor before he slid in, jumping up and down.
"Can I have whipped cream with it, too?" He asked softly.
"Of course you can," Ellis said, smiling. "Go play with your Legos and I'll call you back."
Dimitri nodded his head and ran back outside, making Ellie chuckle.
"You're really good with him, Ellie," Sebastian said, smiling when he noticed the flush in Ellie's cheeks. "He's usually not this playful and smiley with others. Trust me, I've been watching over him since he was a baby."
