031 | butterflies

[haruto pov]

i paced around the room, "yah haruto i'm starting to get dizzy, sit down" i see junkyu wrinkled his face behind his phone.

"junkyu hyung" i said sitting down on his chair, "i need to tell you something, i need help" i mumbled.

"hm what's wrong" he said turning off his phone and set it down.

"sora and-" before i could even finish he replied, "are in love, we know. jihoon texted us in the group chat. wow who knew..." he said laughing picking up his phone again .

"wait no what?!" i quickly stood up and reached for my phone. the group chat was filled with my name, "what! how did jihoon find out already".

i shoot my head up at him, "yoshi hyung. i didnt tell him yet - he didn't reply in the group chat. he must be mad! i need to go." i said grabbing my jacket and headed for the door.

all i heard was junkyu laughing at me, "goodluck ruto!" he yelled out. as i went to open the front door yoshi stood in front of the door about to knock.

he had a bag of chicken in his hands and smiled, "hey haruto" he said. i stared at him blankly, what should i say, do i say hi back? or do i just tell him? i was having a mid life crisis as he stood in front of me concerned.

"hyung, i was just going to tell you-" i broke the silence. he patted my head. "why are you both so scared? i'm happy that you guys are together. plus, i knew you were the one with sora that night" he walked pass by me and laughed.

my mouth was wide open, i quickly turn around "hm?" i followed him to the living room.

he placed the bag of chicken on the table and knocked on everyone's door. he sat back down and patted me in the back.

"just don't get into anymore fights. for us and for sora. your health and well-being comes first. we're here for you" he said giving me a smile. i nodded. what is happening right now i'm so confused. he's not mad? the members came out and looked at me, "so! haruto... it's about time" junghwan said.

i glared at him making all the others laugh. we all sat around the table and ate chicken i looked up and saw jaehyuk looking at me, he gave me a smile. i had forgot about jaehyuk hyung liking sora, i mean i figured.

my heart sank a little but i smiled back at him, i just hope this doesn't ruin our friendship.

the next day we didn't have any practice, maybe due to the recent things that have gone on in the entertainment and there were reporters gathered around the building like a mob.

i stayed at the dorm to finish homework but i quickly got bored. i headed over to the other dorm and knocked on the door, it took 2 minutes for someone to come and open the door. what were they doing? isn't there 6 of them in there?

jeongwoo opened the door with his eyes half closed, when he realized i was standing there he shut the door again.

"ya!" i stuck out my arm to block it from closing.

"what took you all so long to open the door" i sighed basically prying the door open.

"let me guess. you only come over to play games with me and mashiho, but now that you're dating sora... theres no way your ugly face is here for us" he stuck his tongue out.

i was flustered now that people knew about us, i didn't mind it - but it was a new weird feeling.

i pushed him after closing the door behind me. "hmm fine maybe i should just kiss you now" i said chasing him into the living room to avoid talking about it.

jeongwoo screamed and shoved his hands in my face to prevent me to come any closer. sora walked out of her room into the living room seeing the both of us wrestle one another on the ground.

"uh sorry, didnt mean to interrupt" she said laughing with her hands over her eyes peeking through her fingers.

we both stopped and looked at her, she put her hand over her mouth and continued to laughed. jeongwoo pushed me off him and ran hiding behind sora.

"your boyfriend is so hostile, fix him" jeongwoo hissed pushing her forward.

i rolled my eyes, "saranghae jeongwoo" i said air kissing him with a wink.

jeongwoo started fake throwing up, "get me a bag, sora you did this to him!" he walked away to his room.

you could hear her snicker as she walked into the kitchen to make food. i watched her put the bread in the toaster and grab peanut butter and a banana out the fridge.

i walked up and set my elbows on the table and rested my chin on my hands patiently waiting. it was silent for a few minutes until she slowly turned and looked at me.

"you're scaring me" she said copying my actions on the table. i chuckled, "i have something for you"

her eyebrows raised up and pointed at herself, "me? why?"

"close your eyes"

"no you're gonna do something to me!"

i pushed my pointer finger on her forehead making her instinctively flinch shutting her eyes, "no i won't, close them" i said again.

she sighed but continued to keep her eyes closed. i pull out a necklace from my pocket and walked over behind her. i pulled her hair back and clasps the silver chain around her neck.

she opened her eyes and looked down grabbing the charm that hung on the chain. it had a silver sterling butterfly and 2 small stars along it. i had a new hobby of collecting necklaces, recently butterfly ones.

i had saw it a little while ago and thought of giving it to her on her birthday or something, but i guess this could be a right time.

i watched for her reaction, it was like her eyes glowed. her eyes looked up at me and gave me a sudden glare, maybe i was too early about saying her eyes were pretty..

"why did you get me this?" she said suspiciously.

i laughed and leaned closer to her, "it reminded me of you, your little star obsession-" she cut me off and hit me.

i rubbed my arm as she touched the charm and looked back at me. i jerked back again scared she would hit me the second time.

"thank you haruto" she said giving me a small hug based on the height difference between us.

"hey don't be too happy, haruto gave me a necklace a few weeks ago too and-" jeongwoo stood in the corner smacking on his snack as he watched us.

i grabbed soras banana and threw it at his head. i looked at jeongwoo while he gave me a weird look and winked, "the difference is i don't like you"
