Hey yall. I have had this story in my head for a while and finally got the courage to write it. While it has some actual Ancient Egyptian facts, please keep in mind I am not an actual Egyptologist. I have done a lot of research and study for this piece but there might be bits that may or may not be historically accurate. This is also only a first draft, so there might be some mistakes or inconsistencies, if you see one, let me know.
I have made several references from many things throughout the story. I never say one thing by name, to keep me from getting copyrighted or sued for whatever reason. While most are obvious, if you don't get a reference, feel free to ask in the comments.
If you did not know, some of the names of the gods was slightly changed during the Greek reign of Egypt. I do switch between them frequently, so I'll give you the list now for most of them. If you need me to explain one god or another, feel free to ask.
Ausir = Osiris
Djehuty = Thoth
Ist = Isis
Inep = Anubis
Bast = Bastet
