Between training with Sekhmet and doing archeology stuff with Mr. Hughes' team, I became pretty busy. The team somehow figured out that I had seen Egypt in Heru's time, and asked me all sorts of questions. I told them of the sights I had seen while I was with Ita and Meni, the temples we didn't know about, and the few things we did. They rewarded me with tales of things they had found or learned during their years of study.

While I told them I had met some of the gods, I kept their details to a minimum, saying that I had forgotten. I pretended to come up with a solution. 'Maybe I can't remember because they make it that way' which they seemed to get and moved on.

It had been a week since my encounter with Osiris, and yet it still bothered me. I always had my knife on me or close at hand. I became anxious when Set left to do one thing or another. I started physically training even after Sekhmet left. I had always hated doing anything physical, but now it felt like a life or death thing.

Heru became like a second pair of eyes for me, which was great during swordplay since he could warn me of any incoming attacks. The longer it had been since our merging, the less it felt as if we were two people. I could no longer tell where I ended and he began. The only time we felt like two separate entities, was when we were talking to each other.

My dreams of his memories became a nightly thing. It got to a point where I was looking forward to them. Those dreams helped me sleep. I used to have so much trouble falling asleep but now I would sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Heru was a damn interesting person, and I made sure the team knew it, answering any questions they had or filling in gaps they made.

I kept in daily contact with Jess or Anna. They noticed right away that I was physically different. Jess had become jealous of my flawless skin and Anna of my shiny luscious hair. I was still fully expecting them to get upset one of these days due to my soon-to-be immortality. They never did. Hell, they became happier the more I told them, the more they got to know Set. They became extremely happy when I told them of our plans of making Texas our home base.

They loved seeing me show off my power. Once I took the little stuffed falcon Anna had made and made it fly using my wind. I introduced them to the rest of the godly crew. Sis took a shining to Anubis for a reason she refused to say. Jess asked me one day when I'd be back, which I couldn't answer. I told her that we were simply waiting for Osiris to attack.

"Well, maybe you should find him first." She shrugged on camera.

"That's kind of hard to do since he can go into the underworld and hide out." Set scoffed.

"Well, it's better than being sitting ducks." She commented, rolling her eyes.

"What if he was being controlled too?" Anna asked. She was sitting with Jess in her white and black apartment, hand-sewing as usual.

"What do you mean, Anna?" Set asked, his eyes narrowing.

"Well, you said that his personality shifted drastically one day. What if he is being controlled just as he was controlling Nephthys, and the others in turn? What if he can't disobey?" She spoke without looking up from her current project, which looked like a horse.

"To tell you the truth, sis, I've been thinking the same idea. The only problem with that idea is that, while he's fucking insane, he's still considered the king of the gods. There are very few things that would be strong enough to control him, with or without his name." I had been thinking the same thing for a while. Maybe there was a secret enemy pulling the vast strings from the shadows.

"What about that snake thing, the world eater, or whatever? You've said before that thing is known for being an ass." Jess didn't study as I did, but she knew some myths simply because I told her.
