The next morning was a lazy one. We didn't really get dressed, just hanging in our pj's. I smiled while making coffee and filling Umbra's bowl. I started on breakfast, making blueberry pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Set snuck up and made me jump when he wrapped a hand around my waist. I smacked him lightly and educated him on not sneaking up on a cooking chef.

"What if I had been cutting something?" I chastised jokingly. He chuckled softly and placed an apologizing kiss to my cheek. He grabbed a cup of coffee and hummed at its flavor.

"This is new." He took another swig, holding it in his mouth for a bit before swallowing.

"Do you like it?" He nodded, taking another swig. "It's chicory coffee. It's my favorite coffee blend. I brought a big bag of it from home. I get a very specific brand from a cafe in New Orleans."

"Well I like it, and it smells heavenly." He and I grabbed our mugs and collapsed on the plush couch, snuggling together as we watched the news. I still couldn't understand the language but the visual cues helped.

"You know I just thought of something." I thought aloud.

"What's that, hun?" He asked, keeping his eyes on the screen.

"Once I'm completely a goddess, what would I be called?" I sipped my coffee, and his eyes slid to mine.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Well it's not like 'Alice' gives off a 'godly' air. I would still sound human and weak. Maybe I should be called something else, like you guys have names other than your true names. Maybe I should do something similar." I shrugged, it had been bothering me. I couldn't imagine people looking up to a goddess called Alice.

He chuckled and placed a gentle kiss to the top of my head. "Maybe, but you'd have to go with something Egyptian. Since you're one of us."

"You'd have to help me with that." I smiled up at him. "Have you met any of the other gods, not from Egypt?"

"Yeah, there's a big meeting of all major gods of each religion every 5 years. Mainly it's just an excuse for us to get together and drink more." He chuckled as he drained the last bit of coffee. He groaned as he stood to get a refill.

"Have you made friends with some of the others?" I was super curious as to the other groups of gods, I mean I studied them for years. He sat again with a filled cup and raised a brow.

"I guess, but I usually get relegated to the 'trickster' table. I guess I could say I'm somewhat friends with Loki and Anansi. Hades usually hangs with our group, but mainly because he's a shy person, his wife on the other hand is a handful." I stared, my mouth agape, almost drooling. This made the mythologist and anthropologist inme very very happy.

"And think, you can go next time around. Meet whichever god or goddess you want." I almost squealed, bouncing on the couch next to him. Just thinking about meeting my favorite gods and goddesses made me super happy. Amaterasu, Artemis, Loki, Hades, even Anansi the spider, ah it made my heart soar. "Calm down my love. We still have a few years before the next one." He kissed me with a smile.

A knock at the door, interrupted our fun, but we weren't upset. I smiled at the gentle faces of the lion and crocodile's human forms. Elaine, Sekhmet, smiled broadly and gave me a tight hug. Mr. Hughes, Sobek, smiled too and clasped my hand in his.

"Well don't just stand there come on in. I made some coffee, would you like some?" I smiled.

"Well doesn't that sound familiar? I could've sworn you said that very thing when we first met." The goddess giggled happily. Umbra took one look at the war goddess and backed away slowly, not wanting to get eaten. She turned to look at the fluffball and squatted holding out her hand with a gentle smile, cooing at him trying to coax him closer. With a word from me, Umbra got close to sniff her hand and gently rubbed his cheek against it.
