I awoke with a hard slap to the face. My eyes struggled to take in my surroundings. My hands were tied behind the back of a chair and my legs were strapped to the legs of the chair. I was in a traditional torture chamberlike you would see in a movie. Solid concrete walls, a tiny barred window, and only one door. In front of me was the same young man who had bumped into me. Behind him sat a huge lion on one side and a huge crocodile on the other, both guarding the door.

I glared at the man in front of me. I had to suppress a shocked gasp though, as the man in front of me looked like the man I had come to trust wholeheartedly. He was different though. While he looked like Seth, he didn't have the same eyes. This man's eyes were emerald green, not cognac brown. This wasn't Set.

"About time you woke up. I was about to get bored of slapping you." His voice was cold and cruel. His smirk sent shivers down my spine. "Now my dear, you are going to tell me what I want to know. Afterward, I'm going to take my time killing you."

"Who are you? Where is Seth? Where am I? What do you want with me yo-" I was going to say 'you bastard' but the bastard slapped me hard across the face.

"Shut up I ask the questions." He stood back though as if surprised. "You can't tell who I am?" He laughed long and loud. This guy was insane. His eyes came back to mine widened to the point they almost popped out of his head. Yup insane alright. He closed his eyes again, then something about him started to change.

It's as if the color of his skin began to wash away. It started running into his chest revealing a deep sea green skin tone underneath. His hair began growing back into his head until he was bald, but his beard grew longer, but only the spot at the point of his chin. When he opened his eyes again they were a glowing crimson red. His scent changed too. He smelled like the long dead. My heart began to race rapidly and by breath matched it.

"Ausir. Osiris. Fuck you stink." I crinkled my nose in disgust. That comment earned me another slap to the face and a hard punch to the gut. I glared at him, feeling blood run down my nose and probably a cracked rib. He wrapped his huge hand around my throat and squeezed.

"You are a feisty one aren't you." I gasped trying to pull air into my lungs, with no success. He squeezed harder and I felt dizzy, my sight darkening at the edge. Then the door swung open.

"Ausir, sir. Someone is attacking the compound. They are killing your vessels left and right." My eyes began to roll back into my head, but he let go. I gasped for breath coughing harshly. He followed the messenger out of the room leaving me with the animals.

"Sobek of crocodiles huh." He hissed. My voice was horase. Judging by the light from the window, it had been several hours since I was taken. I looked to the large female cat. "And, Sekhmet. I must be pretty lucky." I coughed again. It hurt to talk, but I needed to. How could they follow him? He was insane.

"You know, I have a pet cat that I named Sekhmet. She's a huge ash grey maine coon. She's the size of a small dog. I have two other cats, Salem and a little kitten that I'm fostering. Who will feed them if I'm dead?" Tears began to fall down my face, my scratchy voice wobbling with sobs. "I don't want to die. What did I do to deserve this? Did I insult you somehow? Did Heru do something? What is it? WHY!?" I cried out. The two animals looked at each other then back at me, then away. "Can you not see the insanity in his eyes? What does he want from me? Tell me, damn it." I couldn't stop.

I wanted to see Set. I didn't want to die here. My knife was pressed against my thigh where I couldn't get it. So I just sat there crying. My tears mixing with my blood. The great lion began to stand, to take a step towards me, but the door shattered behind her.
