Sis came by the next day with a box in one hand and a bag in the other. She was already used to our new place and would often bring something. She had brought throw pillows and blankets over before, so seeing her with things wasn't unusual. Anna, however, was startled at the sight of my Dad. She took him with a grain of salt. She would tolerate him but didn't like him because of Ruth.

"Hey Anna, what are you doing here?" He smiled. She looked at him with lips puckered and eyes at half-mast.

"I should ask you the same thing." She sassed. I rolled my eyes at the visible sparks coming from her.

"What's up, Anna? What'cha got there." I raised an eyebrow trying to ignore the tension. She set the box on the coffee table and pulled a cute blue dress out of the bag.

"Mom set us up with a date with the bridal shop. Go put this on and let's go. They're expecting us in an hour." She huffed, shoved the dress in my hand, and pushed me in the direction of my room.

"The box is for Seth." She passed the box to him and he opened it to find a little him. Well, it was his animal form. She had even got his faint markings right. He smiled and 'awwed' at it. "I didn't think it was right for her to have a little Ra and not a little you." She shrugged. "I'm making Alice's too, but that won't be ready for a while." She smiled.

Set and I had discussed the wedding trying to figure out the little things. We decided to do a medieval fantasy-themed ceremony with an Egyptian twist at the end. I kind of already had a dress idea in my head and Set already had what he was going to wear.

The main ceremony would be medieval Europe themed, with us looking like a medieval prince and princess but the afterparty would be Egyptian themed with us dressed as Nesu and his Queen. It was a cool idea and solved the debate between the outside and inside. The ceremony would be outside which would be decorated like a fantasy scene but the inside of the barn would be decorated with Egyptian stuff.

Either way, I put on the dress she brought me and met her outside. The dress made me look like Alice, from Alice in Wonderland with a cute little apron. It felt weird. Set gave me a kiss as I entered her car, making her and my Dad roll their eyes. "We'll be back soon.I don't know if I'll find the one I want or not but we shall see." Set nodded and waved us off.

"Well, it's about time you got here." Marci jumped up and ran to hug me. I wasn't expecting her to be there. I hugged her back as I waved to Mom. Marci stood back all of a sudden and looked me over. "You've lost weight and gained some muscle I see. You look nice. Now if only you were a bit taller." She hummed.

The bridal stylist came over with a bright smile. "Welcome. You must be the blushing bride. Do you know what kind of dress you are looking for?" I smiled at my entourage and explained to the woman about the first half of the ceremony. Set and I decided to keep the second half a secret.

The stylist listened to the idea and smiled. "I think I might have the perfect thing. wait here a moment please." She nodded her head before walking off.

"I love that idea, baby. You'll look so pretty." My Mom was always my biggest supporter. Once she got a feel for Set's character, she had told me that she loved us together.

"Yeah she will, but guess who I saw at her house." Anna snitched. Little shit. "Paul was there, sitting in her living room like he owned the place." Mom looked at me questioningly, so I told her what had happened, keeping the parts about us scaring the shit out of Ruth in coded speech, to not let Marci know. Mom knew and Anna knew but Marci didn't and I wanted to keep it that way.

"Sorry for the wait. This might be the perfect gown for you." The stylist held up a simple white dress. It had a nice structured bodice with silver beading and embroidery. Long sleeves flared out to show a lining of metallic silver fabric. The shoulders were cut out so the straps for the bodice and the sleeves were separated. The floor-length skirt was very simplistic other than the slight pleating in the back. Veil-like material fell down the back of the dress giving it a bit of a fantasy vibe. It was exactly what I wanted.

"Would you like to try it on?" She asked, seeing the happy look on my face. I nodded without a word and followed her to the back dressing room. With a little bit of help, I was able to fit into the dress. The woman used some clips to hold it shut and helped me walk back out where I could see myself in the mirror.

"You know, I came here fully expecting to not find the dress I wanted, but damn." I twirled slightly, loving the light flowing material. It was extremely simple but I loved it that way. Marci came over and placed a veiled tiara on my head which made it even more perfect.

"It's perfect for you, Ali." Only Mom could call me that. She was right of course, it looked perfect and even fit mainly well.

"It would only take a small amount of alteration to make it fit as well." The woman proclaimed.

"I'll take it then." I smiled happily. The others agreed. Anna took a picture and sent it to Jess who also agreed it was perfect. With that, we made the arrangements and the dress was purchased.
