the group of friends king accumulated were proving to be quite a burden, but he loved them. his only problem being, why the fuck are theses nice kids getting into fights???

these were some of the nicest high schoolers he's met, but they fight like their lives depend on it. like it's a religion or something. if you can't tell, king isn't very poetic, he's just weirdly confident with a bit of naivety. in other words, he shouldn't be as smart as he is, and his friends were awkwardly surprised when they realized he had perfect scores.

king wasn't sure how to react to their awkward laughs, and also that one dumb blonde joke ben made, which deeply offended both teddy and king, as king had dyed his hair blonde too many times. in fact, harley dyed his hair too many times for it to be healthy. it was currently a charcoal blue color, with navy blue tips. his friend daniel had convinced him into getting a perm together, so his hair curled right above his blue eyes in a cute bowl cut. [kinda like the hair haise has in tokyo ghoul]

kings friend group were never really sure if his eyes were really blue, or what the rest of his face looked like under that black mask of his. was he really ugly? did he have a big scar? they didn't know, and were too afraid to ask.

being as afraid as they were, alex and gerard convinced gray to talk to their multi haired friend about the strange habit. gray somehow thought that the perfect time would be walking home from cram school, which king went to occasionally to keep his scattered brain in check.

it was late enough to be dark, and the australian friend of eujene had been blabbering the entire time they were walking. when gray got fed up he simply jerked king by his wrist to get him away from the rambling red head.

looking him in the eyes, he asked the question.

"why do you wear that mask?"
