king was understandably tired of these males, and had every right to turn them down.

his monotone 'no' sunk their spirits. jake, being as dramatic as he is, out his hand over his heart and sunk further into the corner of the booth. dean and wolf were pouting, while donald mumbled insults about 'his competition' under his breath.

suddenly, jake had a smart idea.

"why don't we all date him."

cue an hour of jake having to explain how this was supposed to work. king didn't have that long of a break, but jake refused to let him leave. this meant king had to text his boss to let him know he'll be back a little later, and also meant he'd have to work late so all of his work got done. hurrah....

jake had explained polyamory well enough for them to understand, and all parties agreed to give it a try at least.

when the confusion settled, king pulled out his laptop, deciding to do his work here instead of his office. most of it was school work he had been putting off all day. it was easy work, mostly just practice equations and such.

the boys hadn't left like he expected them too, but their presence didn't really bother him.

donald was focused on his right hand, which had been spinning a pen between his small fingers for over an hour. he figured it was out of nervousness that he couldn't control, and donald doubted he realized what he was doing. this lead the blonde to gently take the pen from king, and set his own hand in its absence.

the smaller fiddled with the ring of donald's pinky, which almost made the blonde laugh. that was the same ring donald always played with.

he noticed the smaller stop abruptly and sigh after about fifteen more minutes of working. king was on an equation that he couldn't understand, prompting him to shut the laptop and push it to the side.

"i'm going to go home, would you like to come with?" he wasn't speaking to any of them specifically as he absentmindedly started playing with donald's rings again. they didn't hesitate to nod so king motioned for wolf to let him out.

when they made it outside, wolf took harleys hand. as they walked, harley swung their hands lightly back and forth. he decided to take them to his apartment close to his job, instead of his actual house, which they had seen before. when they walk him home they generally walk him to this apartment, that why jake and dean drifted ahead.

the apartment was more of a penthouse, it was huge. the boys had never gone inside, and were pleasantly surprised to learn about the one bedroom.

said bedroom was large, the wall across from the bed was made of glass, and gave a beautiful view of the city sky line. the boys froze at the view and just stared. how much money does he even have??

kings job pays a lot, and his sibling are heads of illegal businesses. well, they weren't his blood siblings, they were a group of 'runaways' that found each other. runaways is a loose term they use considering some just didn't have homes, or their parents were dead.

carson was the oldest. he's twenty-two, and the ceo of many famous media companies, as well as the behind the scenes owner of many other companies.

next in line is cameron, who's twenty-one. he owns a software/computing company (which deals with the illegal hacking of bank accounts and such).

carter and noah. they are eighteen and handle the illegal behind the scenes of cameron and carson's companies.

lastly, harley and chae-hyung. they are both sixteen, harley works for the chairman of the hnh group, while chae-hyung works at a quaint cafe. chae-hyung doesn't want to get into anything illegal yet, claiming it might affect getting into his dream college.

there weren't any girls in their family. most of them grouped together because of parental problems, and both king and carter had more 'problems' with their mothers. this meant carson always kept them clear of older women, and dealt with the older clients himself. carson was responsible, and didn't want to risk a relapse into bad habits from the two.

carson also give his siblings money, mostly because he can. his companies make more money than a single person needs. he might run illegal corporations, but he's not a monster.

[re dyed my hair to annoy my grandmother,, oops. anyways, i'm trying to figure out a new cover and i've already replaced all of the images.]
