Twilight by ATEEZ

Felix and Hyunjin stayed with me almost until midnight before they had to go back to their dorms. Felix threw a tantrum and Jinnie had to practically drag him away, saying that Chan, their group leader and elder, would be livid otherwise.

My sleep was a deep and happy one, good dreams filtering into my mind for the first time in forever. After checking out of my hotel room in the morning, taking a taxi to pick up my car, a black Hyundai Tucson that I fell in love with, and finally arriving at my new apartment, I felt the biggest feelings of self accomplishment. This was my home. No landlord. Just me and my mortgage for my beautiful home.

It was far more spacious than I had anticipated. I hadn't visited the apartment before flying to Seoul, so I could only go by what the sellers told me and online images, but it was a gorgeous home. After leaving my shoes by the front door in the hyeon gwan, the small shoe area that you often find in Korean homes, I walked around the bare house. Thankfully, all my boxes I had sent over were neatly delivered in the living space. All there was left to do was to fill the house with furniture.

I was also thankful that I had enough sense to purchase a mattress, fridge, cooker and washing machine to the home, which the Sales Department for my house allowed in. The companies that delivered had everything installed, so there was nothing for me to worry about at all.

I spent most of the day either grocery shopping or picking out and purchasing furniture I wanted in the stores not too far from my neighbourhood. I even got a new phone as my last one wasn't compatible with the networks in the new country.

I took the opportunity to leave my car in the big car parking complex for my apartment block and took a walk instead, enjoying the blue skies and sightseeing. Considering it was a Friday, it wasn't busy at all. Maybe I just wasn't used to the dynamics of Seoul yet.

I did receive a lot of stares. I guess it was unusual for locals to see a non-Korean resident in their midsts, but I didn't take offence. They just hadn't been given the chance to get to know me yet.

Night began to fall and I had set up my mattress in my bedroom with new bedding that smelt like clean linen. I was washed, dried, changed into fresh pyjamas, black joggers and a blue top, and ready to order food when I heard a knock at my door. I wondered if it were my neighbours as I approached the door.

"We bought trashy takeaway."

I guess he just couldn't stay away.

"And I brought friends," Felix added, holding up the stacks of pizza boxes in his arms.

"Come in," I chuckled, stepping back to let all five boys through the door.

I gave a light punch to Felix's arm as he entered, followed by Hyunjin who gave be a big embrace, lifting me from the ground.

Next was the sunshine Seungmin I was so excited to meet. He wrapped his arms around me with the biggest smile, telling me he had been so eager to see me as soon as he knew I landed. His usual brown hair was now a rose gold and I complimented him on it, he returned a bashful thank you.

"This is Jeongin, our maknae, and Minho, our main dancer," Felix explained after I closed the door.

"Hey, guys, it's so nice to meet you," I hugged each boy in turn. They were taller than me so I had to tip toe a bit, but both their expressions were so warm.

"Nice to meet you too, Rose," Jeongin said politely, smiling. The young boy had black hair and looked so adorable and innocent, wearing a white tee and jeans.
