Song:
SLUMP by Stray Kids
~~~"Tell me why we're at a theme park again?" I questioned Hyunjin who was almost vibrating with excitement.
Yeah, I wasn't really sure why we were at this deserted park but then again, there were worse ways I could've spent my days off.
Jeongin sprinted past me, arms up to the sky as he yelled with excitement as Jisung ran after him, grabbing Innie around the waist and running off with him, the pair screaming together. I actually chuckled in amusement.
There was a big Ferris wheel, a swinging pirate's ship, a log flume, tunnel rides, roller coasters and so much more - and the entire theme park was open just for us.
"Manager treats us well," Hyunjin shrugged, grinning as he looked around.
The sky was overcast but didn't seem to threaten to rain. A nice breeze ran through our bodies as we paced through the park and I pulled my light jacket around my body. Lots of staff and security littered the place, ready to be at any of the boy's beck and calls if need be. I guess it was just a safety thing and it wasn't off putting. They were more background characters than anything.
The boys and I were pacing through the park in a gaggle, trying to decide what to try out first - well, all the boys but Chan. I didn't know where he was but I thought that to be the best for now. I started stuttering when I was in his presence or accidentally staring at the boy, simply making a fool of myself. I was a mess around him.
"They clearly know that Stray Kids are literally kids," I rolled my eyes. Of course these boys would get excited from a place like this.
Hyunjin pouted, playfully shoving me, "Just you wait. You'll be begging to go on every ride."
I began smiling at how childish he was. That was until he commented, 'including me'.
Minho slapped him on the upside of the head and Jinnie whined, touching the tender area.
"Stop flirting with Rose," Minho glared at him, coming to walk beside me instead, "She's not your girlfriend."
Minho actually looked really handsome. His black puffer jacket hugged his body as his brown hair was tousled by the wind. Brown eyes sparkled in the overcast lighting, his jaw sharp and Adam's apple prominent. He was a masterpiece.
"Thanks," I chuckled, watching an offended Hyunjin catch up to Changbin who was pointing at a ride called 'Sky Dropper' which essentially hoisted you up thirty feet into the air and repeatedly dropped your strapped in bodies several times as it slowly spun.
Minho hummed, "Hyunjin is such a flirt, it's annoying."
"Sad you don't have his charm?"
The brunette narrowed his eyes at me, "You know full well I'm an incredible charmer. I have you, don't I?"
I found myself playfully rolling my eyes with a smile before it wavered and fell again. I felt guilty about how it seemed we had grown apart a bit in recent weeks, though I still loved him.
I think maybe my lack of response spoke volumes between us. The atmosphere grew thick after that, our eyes training to the ground.
"Can we start with something gentle? Like the Ferris wheel?" Felix asked, a little overwhelmed with the choice of rides we had, "That way, we can get an overview of the park too."
I nodded, "Sounds good with me."
"Pussies," Seungmin chuckled under his breath.
Hyunjin gasped and hit his arm, "Language!"
