Song:
Blueprint by Stray Kids
~~~I thought I'd wear something smart casual to the MV shoot since the last two times I had seen the boys, I was literally in my pyjamas.
Felix told me he was going to try and get me into the shoot as a 'translator', even though one was probably not even needed. His excitement for me to be on set compelled me to say yes and so if we were going to fib, I was going to play the part.
I put on a white knit cami top, black slacks with a chunky belt and a black blazer over top. I straightened out my blonde hair and threw it into a sleek ponytail and pulled out some strands to make it look pretty. Applying some glam make up, feathered brows, winged eyeliner and a neutral lip, I finished with some accessories. Finally, I stood back in my bathroom mirror, a small, black cross body bag on my shoulder, and felt contented with my look.
Knowing Stray Kids, which I did thanks to Felix, they're visuals were usually a hard street attire, usually in black, that made them look powerful. I didn't want to dress up in a cutesy blue dress and look completely out of place when I get to the shoot.
Felix told me they would be shooting from around 7am which pained me to the thought. I wouldn't be able to function at that time, let alone dance my heart out. So, instead, Lix just told me to get to the set before lunch so the majority of the stressful part of shooting would be done.
Lixie gave me the address to a hotel venue the night previous so that's where I headed off to, feeling nervous for some reason.
It was a forty minute drive and as I pulled up in the car park, I noticed the big manor-like building. Four stories at least, it was ornate with orange stained stone walls, staff members and crew bustling inside and out with different props and equipment. There was a black tour bus off to the far side of the building on gravel, the words 'Stray Kids' on the door's side.
Parking my car and turning off the engine, I clambered out of my car and headed for the big double doored entrance that was wide open, staff dashing back and forth. The gravel crunched beneath my black pumps, making me cringe at the sound.
"Identification, please," a man with a deep voice startled me. I turned my head to see a guard in a black suit, walkie talkie in a holster on his hips.
I pulled out my Australian driving license from my bag, presenting it to the older man. He took it from me and looked down at it as if it were a fake.
"Anderson Rose," I told the guard, "I'm the translator."
The guard's eyes flickered up to me, "The boy did say a blonde, white girl was coming."
The words were very condescending and supercilious so I snatched my ID back out of his hands.
"Good day to you," I bluntly said before pressing on into the building. The guard didn't stop me at least.
His words left a sour taste in my mouth, but I didn't let it get me down. I didn't want it to ruin this experience for me: getting to finally see Felix in motion with his work.
