Burning Up (Fire) by BTS

Being at the theme park with my best friends was actually the most fun I had had in a really long time. Every ride we went on was full of hard belly laughter until we couldn't breathe and anticipation for the next. We didn't even end up having lunch just because we wanted to try out everything before the front gates had to close.

Pirate's ship, waltzer, swooping swings, log flumes, you name it, we probably did it. I got so lost in the enjoyment of being able to spend the day hanging out with every one of the boys, I had forgot about Minho with the cloud over his head.

Jeongin grabbed me by my hand, "Come on this one with me? Seungmin is being a wimp."

"I'm not being a wimp!" Seungmin pouted, folding his arms, "I just don't like the idea of going upside down."

I looked up to see the tracks of a rollercoaster going overhead, an empty cart clattering loudly as it sped down the turns and loops at sonic speeds. I gulped loudly; it looked intimidating.

But as I looked at a begging sparkle in Jeongin's eyes, I sighed giving in. I was already on my theme park high, how bad could this rollercoaster be?

I nodded, breaking into smile.

"Come on, little fox," I spoke, tugging on his hand as we excitedly made our way to the vacant queuing dividers.

"Wait, I'm coming too!" Felix almost screamed before I turned my head to look over to a pink haired Hyunjin, rolling his eyes as Felix yanked him towards the ride too.

"I don't wanna!" Jinnie wailed, traipsing behind an ecstatic Lixie.

Felix ignored his protests, meeting Jeongin and I before one of the theme park staff members allowed us through the turn gate before instructing us on where to sit.

Felix essentially dragged Hyunjin by his white, puffer coat into the front seats of the yellow cart, lowering the large, metal bar so it sat across their hips, locking into place.

Jeongin helped me into the row behind, hand out like the gentleman he was, before we sat down, wriggling in our seats with eagerness.

"Wait up!"

That was Jisung's voice and as I turned my head to look, the boy with the navy blue coat jogged over with a dark haired Chan behind him.

If my heart wasn't already exhilarated by the thrill of the ride, it certainly was now.

"Ay! Han!" Felix called, a big grin across his face as he began rocking the cart.

Hyunjin swatted his arm, "Don't do that!"

"Hold on, let me get in the back," Jisung huffed as he struggled into the single seated rear row, stomping loudly against the floor and pulling the bar across his lap, "Rear seat, bitches. I'm like the cool kid on the bus."

Jeongin rolled his eyes before laughing at the boy with the bucket hat.

"Mind if I sit next to you?"

Chan's voice snapped my focus away from the idiot behind me, quickly nodding in response and shuffling closer towards Innie to allow him space.

If the trip to the theme park helped with anything, a day off to relax or otherwise, it definitely helped me feel calmer and less nervous around Chan than I was before. It felt like it had broken down an invisible barrier where I could see Chan more as a person and less as the guy who made me feel nervous and made my knees weak.
